Old property but maintained clean. Worth for money

Read the rest of the 1 and 2-star reviews here. They're not wrong. It's a shame this place is so grotty because it actually has potential. I'm good at managing my expectations, but this was comically bad - I've never spent so much money on such a crappy hotel before, nor so much time writing a review to warn others off. ROOM Our room was superficially clean (floors and sheets), but there were stains on most of the walls, especially in the kitchen and bathroom. The shower was moldy, the ceiling vent was choked with gunk, and the upper toilet tank overflowed every time we flushed. Outlets, knobs, and switches were filthy. The sliding closet doors were off their rails and could not be budged. The walls are incredibly thin, so noise was a big issue at all hours. This was exacerbated by the fact that the outside door wasn't sealed in any way, so light and noise streamed in. STAFF The staff were generally sullen and unfriendly, and I can't say I blame them - I wouldn't want to work here either. The front desk was usually only available via an uninviting sealed glass window in the dark and scary parking garage. EXTERIOR The passageways, stairs, and pretty much everything exterior was dirty. So many stains. So much trash. Large bags of dirty laundry left out randomly to marinate. The single difficult-to-find elevator was tiny, dead-slow, and of course, filthy. There is a second elevator, but it was mercifully locked up for some reason. And since I mentioned scary, here's more: the parking garage and exterior lot, the passageways, the sketchy people hanging around - heck, the entire vibe of the place. BREAKFAST "Breakfast" was disappointing. Cereal dispensers, wizened fruit, packaged muffins, and for some reason, a waffle iron. The layout of the breakfast was disorganized and baffling: even finding cutlery and napkins presented an unexpected little scavenger hunt. I can usually find something to eat at any breakfast, but I literally walked away from this one with just a tiny cup of tepid coffee. There wasn't even dry toast. POOL The pool looked ok (barring the skeleton of a missing diving board or something) but given the skivey state of the rest of the place, we decided not to risk it. SUMMARY Seriously, this place is gross, dirty, scary, inhospitable, and terribly overpriced. Go somewhere else.

Changed rooms once because the first room had blood in the corner kitchen, dirty, and bathroom as well. It had a kitchenette but no dishes to use. I don’t think I would’ve used them anyway since it was so dirty curtain had holes in it bathroom shower door hanging off
