Oceana Boutique Hotel

checked in didn't give me a receipt. guy hands me a key card and says dont pay attention to the number on the key card. it was different than the room i stayed in. walked in and wow. 1st thing i see are 3 roaches chasing each other. its dirty really dirty and everything in the room is broken or really worn out. then when the sun went down homeless people started gathering in the parking lot with all there stuff. they opened what was like a garage and all were in there fixing there bicycles and what not. some were getting high some just stood around. i kept asking wheres the boutique. this place is in a residential neighborhood. only thing it has going for it is location thats it nothing more. lots of drug activity and theres a sign saying the donts - they will charge you for not cleaning the room before you leave they will charge you for not emptying the trash can they will charge you for not washing drying and putting away dishes they will charge you for leaving any food in the frig. they have no maid service. the staff isnt friendly at all its like a chore for them to come to the counter and check you in. this place needs a major make over or torn down. its awful

So the rooms were clean, and the service was adequate, but the oven/ stove that was listed to be in our room was non existant, and the queen bed wasnt very comfortable

Fine if there are no other options First off, there is no one available to check in after 9pm. Second, they hold $100 deposit instead of putting a card on file. They actually charge this, then release it, so your money is tied up for days. Third, the room was just, dirty. It’s not cleaned well at all, it’s old and outdated, and just in disrepair. The bed is hard, loud and they put a plastic sheet on it (like one you use for a toddler) so I had to listen to that all night. I guess it’s fine if there are no other options.
