3-Star Hotels in San Carlos De Bariloche

I got there at check in time. The Receptionist asked me to wait 20 minutes for them to clean my room. 40 minutes later, I’m starting to question whether they forgot about me. Reception reassures me that they haven’t forgotten. 1 hour later, someone hands me a key and tells me it’s upstairs, the last room on the left. My reservation was ”1 room with Large bed”. When I got to the room, there were ”10 small beds”. I go back to reception asking what’s going on and clearly they try to push this back on me explaining how their bunk beds are bigger than standard. O_o I start pulling out photos and descriptions, booking refs and what not clearly showing that I booked a room with a large bed. I even got photos of the large bed from the publications. They say they’ll get the manager. About 30 minutes later, the manager doesn’t have the heart to come out himself and the reception explains that it’s not their booking platform and anyway, there’s no room available. I explain the platform isn’t theirs but it’s their account and their publication and it is therefore their mistake but nothing to be done. So basically they’re the type of people making obscure publications with contradictive descriptions and if you’re not happy with getting something else, well too bad, you already paid and tough luck. Ask any locals and they’ll assure you this isn’t a simple honest mistake. It’s very deliberate but they’ll tell you with a smile that this never happens and it’s not their fault. If they could at least be responsible for their mistakes but no. Please don’t support this kind of behavior, there are better places in Bariloche with better prices. And finally our cards to open the dorm stopped working and we started getting locked out of our room…

It really depends what room you get. I was twice there. The first time I booked lake view and got a room on the 5th floor with a great view to the lake an mountains. The room was quite large and comfortable. The second time I booked city view. The room was very small, noisy from the street and less comfortable. For the small price difference you should book the lake view room and ask for a room in the upper part of the building. The facility is generally a bit outdated.

We were staying in May, Mariana is an excellent host. The hotel has a very good taste for those who want a quiet, prolix environment with quality food (do not lose the cocoa cake and the apple buddy that makes Mariana ...exquisite). The sweet taste in the decoration, from art where you want to see (tables and sculptures, photos), to plants and tapes placed in the exact place. It always smells rich, but in the morning you are waking the flavor of a newly furnished bread (and there is a half difficult to sleep again... it gives you a hunger!). Sweets are exquisite. Natural yoghurt made by them, orange juice, eggs. The room was very comfortable and the room was very comfortable. The old hotel, but with a renovation, and the main very well located, initially stayed in a super old triple room in the first floor, suffering. Great stay as usual in Hampton.the front men and management are great,very pleasant and helpful.our room was with the beautiful view on the lake!such a nice place to stay,close to all “must visit “ places.I will definitely recommend to stay here and my next trip I’ll stay here as well .

El personal de recepción es muy amable, explican todo. Al llegar fue antes del horario del check in y nos permitieron acceder a la habitación. El hotel no cuenta con estacionamiento propio, pero en la misma cuadra hay uno que al decir que te hospedas en el hotel te hacen descuento. La habitación muy linda, buenas sábanas y colchón. Mucha calefacción, dormíamos con la ventana abierta ya que estaba rota para perilla para bajar la temperatura de la estufa del cuarto. Las toallas en general bien, alguna que otra medio floja, pedía cambio. En nuestro caso era media pensión la estadía, el desayuno bastante completo (jugo, café, te, yogurt, leche, cereales, tostadas, huevos revueltos, fiambre, poca fruta, panificados...) la cena hay 2 platos que varian todas las noches (alguna vez se repite en la semana algunos platos). La bebida se paga aparte, pero no resulta cara. Muy rica la comida y completa. Incluye entrada salad bar, plato principal y postre. El personal en general muy amables en comedor también, salvo una señorita que un día nos dijo que debíamos ir a comer a las 20hs, no a las 20.30 y que si queríamos hacer sobre mesa debíamos irnos al lobby ya que ahí tenían que limpiar. Al día siguiente bajamos a las 20 a cenar y nos avisan que era 20.30 que debíamos estar, para luego volver a atrasar la cena 30' más ya que había un contingente chileno que a esa hr bajaban a comer y no podían servirnos antes. Volvería al hotel ya que en general me pareció bueno, pero hay cosas que ajustar como que marquen bien el hr de la cena y que el horario de uno no esté limitado por un contingente ya que todos estamos pagando por un servicio o bien que se avise de ante mano.

So the Check-in was a nightmare because you had to do in over the website with WiFi that wasn’t great The room was big and clean and the bed was comfy The bathroom was a bit run down as was the rest of the room but you could have a nice and hot shower The breakfast was good as we had the “extra“ the lock on my window was broken as well …they did fix it temporarily though Otherwise the hotel is on what I would call the end of the centre of the Main Street and therefore you can walk very nicely to all the shops of Bariloche
