The rooms are very nice great location. The only thing I would say is that the plumbing is a little loud.

The service was very attentive at the reception. Breakfast offers good options of hot dishes, but could have had a fresh orange juice and more options of sweet breads. The internet is good and the valet service is expensive (US$82 for 2 nights) but it was ok. The gym/fitness center leaves a lot to be desired - the equipment is old and doesn't work properly.

Darrel with the Valet Service was so patient, helpful, and friendly. He not only helped with the bags, but he opened doors as well as patently waited for us to unload and reload the trunk. Heather with the front desk was so sweet and helpful at Hotel Gibbs. Will definitely be recommending and returning. Our room was spacious enough and the AC worked amazingly. The beds were not too soft and not stiff either. The pillows were the perfect combination of soft with the right amount of firmness. My little said "best nights sleeps ever mom!" Such a charming hotel overall. Close to Alamo, Ripley's, and Wax Museum.

We loved this place! Customer service was top tier from everyone. The rooms were clean and comfortable and you can't beat the location. Breakfast is amazing! We will go back soon and stay longer! It was a hit for my 9 year old son as well. We got to walk across the street to the Alamo. Hassle free.

Perfecta ubicación, frente al Alamo y a una cuadra de Riverwalk. Gran atención de todos desde la recepción hasta los del valet. Incluye un variado desayuno buffet, tiene valet parking (con costo extra por noche). Los cuartos son cómodos aunque no cuentan con closet, solo unos ganchos, sin cajones.

We stayed at the hotel Gibbs in downtown San Antonio right by the Alamo. The hotel is a little dated, but comfortable. There is some restoration going on at the Alamo and also at the Woolworth Building across the street. Workers start early in the morning so just be aware but there may be some early morning noise. The hotel rooms are pretty nice and the beds are comfortable. Although it's not listed in the amenities each room has a mini fridge. The buffet breakfast every morning has a good assortment of items. The location is good and lots of things are a short walk away, including the Riverwalk and the Riverwalk shuttle boats. Overall, it was a nice stay.
