Holiday Inn Express & Suites San Antonio South

First of all, I hate to give bad reviews. But in this case, there are some things that need to be addressed. I have also contacted IHG as I'm a long-time member. So to begin with, our first impression was negative. Everything was overgrown, landscaping needed some serious work, and there were multiple parts of the fence that were torn down or bent over. On the plus side, staff was courteous and helpful throughout our issues. The hotel is in the middle of renovations, which must complicate things. Our TV had access issues and could only work with certain channels which were all programmed incorrectly. The front desk person came and personally helped us with modified access. During our second night, the smoke detector in our room began to progressively chirp, so much so that we could no longer sleep. The night receptionist moved us to another room temporarily. Unfortunately that room never cooled off, and we really struggled with any more rest. The next day, maintenance came and actually removed the smoke detector from our room, but it was never replaced prior to our final night. That seemed like a safety issue that should have been resolved, but at this point, we were just ready to be done with our stay. Unfortunately, I would not recommend a stay at this hotel until renovations are complete and many issues are resolved.

Excellent customer service by front desk quiet location no problems only complaint was food was bland.

Sad report to this stay and hotel The floor was uneven. Like the woods missing under the carpet. In the shower the floor creeks really bad like it’s falling down. Checkout is at 11 and at 8am they were banging on my door wanting to clean my room. I was still asleep!

Very bad experience. i came in to the room on the day of checkout around 9:30 am looking at the crew changing the sheets when i have not even checked out the room yet. the crew said that i have already checked out my room when my stuff is already inside the room. This is very unprofessional. The breakfast was very bad at best. Overall a very bad experience.

Property was not up to date! Very outdated and not the cleanest property! Not the holiday inn express experience I’ve come to know!
