Close to River Walk and town. Breakfast not so great. Never cleaned our room. Always asking for towels.

I had an opportunity to interact with a front desk staff member, named Cat (Kat?). She was wonderful, compassionate and friendly-genuinely kind. Also, the hotel did not smell like previous reviewer. It smelled clean and did not notice anything amiss.

From the moment you walk in, the hotel hits you with a disgusting smell that never goes away. It’s honestly nauseating. The breakfast area was chaotic and clearly understaffed. To make matters worse, the front desk staff is incredibly rude. I actually witnessed one of them arguing with a guest instead of trying to resolve the problem professionally. And don’t even bother asking for a manager apparently, the general manager doesn’t show up and all they’ll give you is a business card like that’s supposed to fix anything. I’ve stayed in plenty of hotels, and this was hands down one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. Zero professionalism, zero hospitality. Save yourself the stress and stay literally anywhere else.

I had stayed at this hotel twice before and had good experiences, which is why I chose it again. Unfortunately, this time was disappointing. The bathroom light was broken, and when I informed the front desk, the receptionist said she was alone and there was no maintenance staff available. The room was for 6 people, with a sofa bed and a trundle bed (the type that rolls out from underneath). When we pulled it out, the carpet underneath was dirty and full of food crumbs. The same happened behind the nightstands—clearly, they only vacuum the visible areas and not under the furniture. Very unpleasant. Lastly, the air conditioning wasn’t properly calibrated. We had to turn it off because it was freezing the room, but with 6 people in a room and San Antonio heat in June, it quickly became unbearable. I hope management takes these comments seriously because this hotel used to be a reliable option.
