Good hotel

Dingy, dirty, and overpriced. The room smelled like a dead animal. Walls, doors, etc had some sort of grime on all over. Just didn't want to touch anything.

Needs updating, pool was nasty and rooms were out of date

I recently stayed at the Holiday Inn in San Angelo, Texas, for five days while my dad was undergoing heart surgery, and despite a few minor issues, our experience was very pleasant overall. After a horrendous experience at Motel 6 (read my review on them!), we were relieved to find a comfortable, welcoming place to stay here. The room was clean and comfortable, with great beds that made for a restful night’s sleep. The tub was a bit small, but it served its purpose. One issue we encountered was with the curtain—there were some holes in it, which wouldn’t have been a huge deal if we weren’t on the ground floor. As it was, people walking by could see inside the room, which was a bit uncomfortable. The breakfast was a bit hit or miss. During the weekdays, the options were a bit limited with mainly sausage, yogurt, and granola bars. However, the weekend breakfast was a little better and offered more variety. Unfortunately, the pancake/waffle machine was broken throughout our stay, which was a little disappointing. Despite these small hiccups, the overall stay was fantastic, and we felt so welcomed and cared for by the staff. We were in town during a very stressful time, and the kindness of the staff really made a difference. After such a rough start at another motel, it was refreshing to be greeted with warmth and stay in a clean, comfortable environment. I would definitely recommend the Holiday Inn in San Angelo for anyone looking for a reliable and welcoming stay.
