The hotel has been updated and was very clean. The staff was very friendly and helpful during our stay. However, we left a cooler in the room and when we called to see if they had it, unfortunately they said they did not find it in the room. We know we left it and it was disappointing to learn the right thing was not done. Definitely our fault for leaving it, but disappointing to learn somehow it was not in the room.

Good communication from the guest services staff, ensuring we had our check-in code in advance of our arrival. Our first code provided did not work, but they were quick to provide a backup code upon texting them. Room was nicely decorated and cozy. You can hear plenty of street noise as it is located right off a major thoroughfare (Highway 87). Unfortunately, my partner and I woke up with several clusters of bites on our legs and arms. Guest services informed us they "conduct regular inspections for bed bugs throughout all our rooms... we'll promptly conduct additional inspections." It's a good concept of a place, but we won't be returning.

When we pulled in we thought"Oh no". The property is old and being redone. The outside hides a nice surprise inside. The staff was great, the lobby very cool with a full bar and a personable bartender. The room was nice, comfortable and clean.
Would I return? Probably.

This was such a cute surprise on our cross country stay! The property felt very clean and newly renovated and the staff was very nice at check in and check out. Pet relief area could use a little love but overall if we ever passed through again we would definitely stay here again.

We didn’t know what to expect but we were very surprised how comfortable the rooms were. The staff were exceptionally accommodating and very friendly. The only draw back is that I wanted to pop popcorn and it was after 10 pm so I had to wait for the next night.

I happened into San Angelo returning to DFW from Big Bend and looked specifically for something downtown and discovered The Angora Hotel. What a pleasure. Nicely updated while retaining a retro feel. Excellent bar service with warm accepting staff throughout. Highly recommend as a seasoned traveler.

We had the extreme luck to find the Angoria Hotel on our drive home from Colorado. The stay was excellent from start to finish. The rooms were well appointed and very clean. The kids enjoyed the pool and the homemade donuts in the morning. A huge bonus was the absolutely delicious coffee in the morning. Even the toiletries in the bathroom were luxurious. They even had the “good” crushed ice. All around an amazing stay.
