Fomos magnificamente recebidos pela Senhora Dona Leonor Lacerda Barreto na Casa da Portela de Sampriz. Foi um voltar à essência da beleza natural, rodeada por uma paisagem verdejante que abraça a tradição e o nosso património histórico. A casa de base Quinhentista , ampliada no séc. XVIII, é um símbolo da arquitetura clássica do Alto Minho. O bom nível do restauro , a simpatia, o acolhimento, o asseio e brio proporcionaram uma estadia elegante e muito agradavel.

This gorgeous mansion is a wonderful place to stay to enjoy all that northern Portugal has to offer. You can enjoy the many picturesque villages and monasteries. It is the perfect place to stay to enjoy hikes in Penedes Geres National Park, especially the beautiful Ecovia trail from Sistelo. At the end of the day, enjoy a swim in the luxurious pool with vistas of farms ABS vineyards. The breakfast is excellent. Elizabeth, the chef and housekeeper is warm and friendly and very attentive to guest needs. The owners are justifiably proud of the 20 generations that their family have been stewards of this lovely home and its lands. The nearby village of Ponte da Barca has several nice restaurants and walks along the river. Highly recommended!

This tourist house is pleasant, especially the outside. However, the inside of the house, from our point of view, has little natural light and no air conditioning, which was a bit uncomfortable considering that these days have been very hot and the room was warm at night. The breakfast is pleasant. And the couple who own the establishment are friendly. For couples who like something more modern, we do not recommend this tourist house.
