Très bon séjour de 3 nuits dans ce lodge à l'écart de Samara, au milieu de la forêt, des singes et des oiseaux. Très joli bungalow confortable avec douche ouverte sur l'extérieur. Piscine agréable. Excellent accueil de la responsable (en français super) et du personnel avec conseils de découvertes. Très bon petit-déjeuner avec choix possible selon l'appétit, avec confiture locale, fruits frais et jus de fruits excellents. Parking privé à chaque bungalow. Nécessité d'aller à Samara pour déjeuner et dîner mais pas de difficulté. A recommander à Samara.

Wir waren schon 2021 hier und fragten uns vor der Anreise, ob die Erinnerung einiges geschönt hat. Ein ganz klares NEIN! Die Zimmer sind immer noch tip top in Ordnung, das Frühstück war das beste auf der ganzen Reise. Das Personal hat gewechselt, ist aber weiterhin sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Tiere gibt es immer noch viele, unser Highlight sind und bleiben die Nasenbären. Wir kommen wieder, allerdings nicht in der Ferien. Für Kinder ist die Anlage weniger geeignet.

This is a cute and quiet, if a bit rustic, little location. The outdoor showers are cool. The beds are comfortable compared to others in Costa Rica. AC works well. Staff are very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the covered deck where we read and played cards during the rain. The best part is the beautiful tropical environment. It’s like being nestled in a little jungle cottage. It is farther from town than I realized though, and coupled with a very poor road (not the hotel’s fault) the drive or walk into town wasn’t fun. If that doesn’t bother you, or if you will be visiting with a high clearance car or in a dryer season, this may be a good choice for you.

Gecko review
We had an amazing stay at this lodge. The only thing that was a surprise to us was the cabin had a full kitchen. I didn’t notice that when we booked. But the cabins with the full kitchen do not include breakfast. You could order breakfast for an extra cost. We arrived in the evening and did not bring any food to cook. So we ended up purchasing the breakfast that came with most of the rooms. It was a little frustrating since we spent more than we usually spend on rooms. The pool was also very cold. It was a very nice property. And out of the way of the busy town. If you’re looking for dinner a little later, you will have to travel into town by car.

Jungle Paradise
This small hotel sits in the jungle underneath tall trees just filled with howler monkeys. It is delightful. The landscaping is lovely, the pool is clean and refreshing, and the proprietors are friendly and helpful. We loved it!
