This beautiful, historical hotel suited my needs. The superior double was larger than I expected. It was charming with vintage furniture--something that made me feel like I was not only touring a country in Europe, but sleeping in a very European style home. Although there was no central air conditioning, I had an a/c tower that I placed near my bed and it was perfect. (even with 28-30 degree weather outside) I loved that they kept my luggage after check out and was given the key to the hotel to retrieve it. I was also able to borrow an umbrella which is great as I don't like to pack one. The location was a stone throw from the Mirabelle gardens which I visited and walked through often during my 2.5 day stay. I'm giving it a 4/5 rating because I think the towels can be ugraded in quality as well as quantity.

Very centrally located, quick way into town.
The hotel is very noisy though and you can hear everything that happens in the hallway.

Came for Xmas market & city experience. Can’t fault hotel except for the road noise - & I’m being really picky here!
Impressed that could get in room earlier than check in time. Key collection process was painfree.
Only staff we met was at checkout & very pleasant.

It was a good stay-easy access and room.was comfortable especially the beds and shower. Loved the proximity to Mirabell and place to recharge the Fortress. Nice reception service in the morning!

Code for key to door was emailed. No problem getting in. Large, quaint room. We did not reserve parking in advance… not sure how to do that… so parked on street from 7:00 free till 9:00 am. Walking distance to old town with Christmas market stalls on the way.

We got allocated the top floor room - there was no elevator and having to carry luggages up 3 flight of stairs with no assistance, was definitely a feat. Then we had to carry everything down the next day. The doors were the traditional lock and key (only 1 key provided) so if someone else leaves, you either choose to NOT lock the door (or risk not being able to leave the room in an emergency) or having to climb down 3 flights of stairs to let your partner in. The condition of the room and toilet were also just mediocre. Would not stay more than as a transit hotel- even that was disappointing for the price we paid.

Very good property with a very good location. The only uncomfortable thing is that they do not have an elevator or 24-hour staff at the reception. The bathroom, immaculately clean. The lady at the reception, very attentive and professional. I recommend this property, although only for people who do not have difficulty getting around.
