We have booked a room through the IHG website for our visit on the nights of 2 and 3 October, and requested a room with two single rooms. Hotel replied that unfortunately no rooms with two single beds were available for our stay. A few minutes later I checked Agoda and a room with two single beds was available for the nights of 2 and 3 October so I booked it. Now sitting with two bookings - one for a king room thru IHG and one room through Agoda for two single beds. Emailed front desk to ask why I cannot have the room with two single beds under my IHG booking if I first cancelled my Agoda booking and received the reply that they could see my two bookings in the reservation system, but that they do not have any twin bed rooms so they cannot give me a twin bed room even though I already have the booking for a two room under Agoda. Can either Corinna in Guest Relations or Florian the GM please check my bookings and advise how I can get the twin bed room under my long standing direct IHG booking if I cancel the Agoda booking? This is a forward looking trip advisor comment and request. I had to rate the service average to get this posted to generate a response from the hotel and look forward to favourable resolution of this problem and a lovely stay at the hotel in a room with twin beds in October.
