The Riverside Inn

Stayed at the Riverside to accommodate a short holiday to take in Bristol & Bath. The hotel is situated on the riverbank adjacent to a lock. Our room #2 was on the ground floor, overlooking the river with the added delight of being a favourite haunt for ducks, swans and herons. The room lacked nothing, with toiletries, fresh lining and fresh towels. The room was very tastefully decorated and was very comfortable. Fresh milk and bottled drinking water was replenished every day in the mini fridge. The only downside with our room, was having a picnic table right outside our window. This at times became noisy late into the evening and we couldn't leave the window open as many smokers puffed away out there, which drifted into our room! It also lacked privacy at night as the mirrored glass works in reverse when dark outside. (There is a roller blind however, which is essential from dusk.) The restaurant serves familiar 'Pub Grub' and on certain days, the wood fired pizza oven churns out delicious pizza. Pleanty of seating is available in the pub area and vast amounts of outdoor seating including undercover outdoor areas. Full English breakfasts were lovely although the sausage I found a bit dry and flavourless. The breakfast choice was limited to combinations of the full breakfast selection. All breakfasts came with a glass of fresh orange juice, tea and/or coffee. Staff were all very helpful and friendly. Would definitely stay here again and choose room #6.

I visited Riverside Inn for 2 nights. The rooms were excellent and well presented. I had use of a shared bathroom and was so impressed that all users ensured it was kept clean and tidy. The full English breakfast was faultless Very impressed with free parking which is a must staying in Bath. All of the staff I met were so friendly and helpful. I will recommend and visit again. Thank you for your hospitality

Comfy bed, friendly staff and good food

Gee Lovely clean room over looking the river. Excellent.enjoyed our cooked breakfast, lovely & quiet. Park & ride only 2 miles away which takes you into Bath (less than £8 return for2!!)

Stayed for 3 days. The beds were comfortable and the room was neat. Would have liked a fan but other than that I can’t complain. Breakfast was very good and the staff was excellent. Would stay again.
