The environment is good, the breakfast is good, and the service is also… The room size is okay, but the overall staircase is a bit old and there is no elevator, but it doesn't affect it. It's a different experience, which is not bad... The bed is just too small, everything else is very good…

My husband and I have just returned from a for 1 night dinner , bed and breakfast stay and it was fabulous. The lovely receptionist had upgraded our room as it was a special occasion and it was a gorgeous suite , all great quality sheets , towels, robes etc and the furniture was in fitting with the hotel style. The grounds were pleasant , tranquil and peaceful and a great nights sleep after a walk and dinner was just what we needed. The evening meal offered lots of choice and was beautiful as was the breakfast. We would highly recommend this as everything was first class and the staff very friendly and helpful. Thank You

Clean, comfortable accommodation. Note: the room we stayed in faced the gardens but bathroom has plain glass fitted and in order to ensure privacy we had to pull down blind and switch light on...... frosted glass in a bathroom would be preferred. Pleasant and tranquil surroundings. Good food.... only downside is that dinner menu only changes on a monthly basis so those on a longer stay might not find enough variety.

Grinkle Park Hotel is set in an idyllic location. It is within close reach of Whitby, Saltburn and Runswick as well as being on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park. The food was to a high standard but the evening set menu didn't change so if you were staying for more than a few days this could become repetitive. 10/10 for the staff.

We were on the Pimms, Platter and Pillows package and had a wonderful overnight stay. The location of the hotel is beautiful and the accommodation very comfortable - our deluxe suite was very spacious, well furnished and equipped, with a lovely view over the rear gardens. The Ploughman's Platter we chose was beautifully presented, delicious and plentiful with the added bonus of being able to have it served in one of the cosy pods in the garden - just the place to enjoy a jug of Pimms on a pleasant summer evening! Following a good night's sleep we enjoyed a hearty breakfast to set us up for the day. All the staff were most welcoming, friendly and helpful; nothing was too much trouble and we felt very much at home at Grinkle Park. We would certainly look to returning in the future to spend more time exploring the area.

What a fabulous, traditional, British hotel! Quaint, slightly tired but not detracting from it's charm at all! We visited with a large group for a Regimental reunion, so at least 40 of us. No pressure for the hotel! Couldn't fault them at all, high tea, drinks, canapés, evening meal, all excellent! Followed by breakfast the next day! The staff were lovely, friendly, funny and efficient. Room was clean, comfortable and spacious.
