We arrived in Lake Garda without accommodation and were fortunate enough to discover Villa Arcadio on the outskirts of Salo. It's in a beautiful, peaceful location overlooking the town of Salo, Lake Garda and the surrounding hills. It's free of any traffic noise, with an air of seclusion, yet only a 40 minute walk to Salo's long and lovely Lungolago and the ferry. You could also drive there in 5-10minutes. The grounds are beautifully landscaped and include a spacious immaculate pool surrounded by pool lounges. The rooms are minimalist in keeping with its seminary history, but very comfortable. The common areas are restrained luxury with both indoor and outdoor seating for meals. Their on site chef is excellent and makes innovative use of local ingredients. The staff are all delightful, professional and genuinely warm. Check out the website for the history behind this lovely resiration/renovation.

We stayed for two nights and had a marvelous time! The Villa has been beautifully restored with all modern conveniences- but the history is alive in the beautiful wall art throughout the building. Our room was spacious and had all amenities you would expect- including fabulous air conditioning for the hot July weather. The views from the property are incredible. There is a fitness trail around the grounds which we thoroughly enjoyed. The pool was scenic and refreshing. All the staff were so helpful and accommodating. Jessica even stayed late one evening to help us secure a taxi back from town (she had advised us to pre-book and we should have listened to her ;-). She and her counterparts were always available to help answer questions and assist with planning. It was a tranquil and beautiful spot and we thoroughly enjoyed being close to town, but away from the hustle and bustle.

This is our second day at this lovely hotel. Very nice people everything is beautifully done. The view is stunning. The pool is lovely and the food is exceptional. The only problem was the beds were very hard and the pillows like bags of clay, so not much sleep. Other than that, perfect.

Absolutely stunning property! The views over Lake Garda are incredible and the former monastery was turned into an elegant timeless luxurious private hotel where every corner is truly special. The staff is so friendly and forthcoming. Deborah at the reception is so sweet and helpful. I lost my drone and Piero went out of his way searching for hours to find it. Made me cry. Wonderful humans. Unbelievable! Thank you so much!

We had the most wonderful stay at Villa Arcadia. From start to finish, the experience was exceptional. The staff were incredibly kind, attentive, and helpful—they truly went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and supported throughout our stay. The rooms were beautiful—spotlessly clean, fresh, and thoughtfully designed. The food was another highlight: delicious, beautifully presented, and full of authentic local flavors. We were traveling with our young baby, and the team made us feel completely at ease. Not only were they welcoming, but they also helped us with anything we needed—even going into town to get nappies for us since we didn’t have a car. That kind of thoughtfulness meant the world to us. Villa Arcadia exceeded all our expectations, and we’re already hoping to return. If you’re considering a visit, don’t hesitate—it’s a truly special place

A feeling of well-being from the moment of the warm welcome to the moment of departure. Leaving this beautiful place, we felt a sense of happiness and contentment. At the same time, we longed to return. To a hotel with a wonderful location, a view, far from the hustle and bustle of tourism, yet close to historic Salo and Lake Garda. A place with warm Italian hospitality. The historic, yet modern and high-quality hotel exudes a reminiscence of past centuries. This is due in no small part to the tastefully placed antiques that lend the rooms flair, but by no means create the impression of a museum. A heartfelt thank you to the entire staff for looking after us so kindly.

Assieme ad una coppia di amici ho avuto il piacere di testare questo bellissimo posto. Se l’occhio vuole la sua parte…qui nulla è lasciato al caso e tutto è curato nei minimi particolari. La cucina, ricercata, è di altissima qualità e soprattutto ben definita nell’espressione dei sapori. Capitolo a parte merita anche il servizio, valuto professionale non solo l’evitare piccoli errori, ma, una volta commessi, saperne uscire in maniera elegante, e così è accaduto con il mio tavolo (mi raccomando alla carta dei vini però). Consiglio vivamente questo piccolo angolo di paradiso.
