Super 8 by Wyndham Salmon Arm

Typical budget hotel, tiny room with outdated furnishing and decor.

Very comfortable, room was clean, everything worked, nice keurig coffee maker. Previous reviews have been unfair to this hotel.

The most disgusting hotel I’ve ever seen, bugs, stains everywhere, strong smell of pinesol, to cover the stink, worst thing is I refused to stay there and they charged me anyway? Booking. Com was no help either, I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone,

Upon check-in I showed the clerk my phone with a less price than I had. The clerk said to me “we don’t take those prices”. He then gave me a key to the room (I had requested a first floor room as my wife is stage 4 cancer). He gave me cards for 119 I believe. I asked the clerk if he needed my vehicle info and my signature for the room. He said “we don’t have paper”. I told him I need a receipt at check-out. I did not receive an answer. I went to the car to get our luggage and wife and went to the room we were assigned, I opened the door and walked in, the room was occupied. I left and my wife and I went to the desk and informed the clerk that the room he gave us is being used by someone else. No apology was give. The clerk gave me keys to 214 I believe. I asked if there was a first floor room and was told no. I helped my wife up stairs as she has cancer. We got to our assigned room and the door was open. There wasn’t anyone in the room but the room wasn’t very clean, the toilet seat didn’t match the toilet, the plug in the sink is broken off and no face cloths. I tried calling the desk 3 times and nobody answered. The next morning my wife and I went to have the breakfast included. Note: there was another woman there with a small child about 3 or 4 years old. The only thing they had for breakfast (it was more than an hour before breakfast was finished) was mini muffins, 3 yogurt, 3 apples, bread and black coffee. No butter for toast, no milk or whitener for coffee, no juice. The other woman and child, her husband came in with a younger child and the only thing for the little children to drink was black coffee and dry muffins and toast. I went to the front desk to check-out and asked for a receipt, I was told they can’t print one off. I told them I needed a receipt. I was told they can’t give me one. I then told them our experience at the hotel and I would like to have a phone call from the manager and was told I would receive the call. That was in the morning of September 18 it is now September 26, 2024 and we are still waiting for the call. I guess I shouldn’t hold my breath. My wife and I checked-in on September 17 and checked-out on September 18, 2024. I have stayed at many hotels in North America including Hawaii (100’s of room nights) and I have to say this hotel has to be in the top 5 worst hotels I have stayed in.

Do not stay here! It is a nightmare from the minute you get in. Rooms dirty, no such thing as room service. Sunjit and his cohort lady ignore you or say, in a couple mins. We asked many many times and never saw a facecloth. They don’t clean rooms, asked for clean towels, nada unless you snagged them yourself from the laundry room. Dirty wall and sheets and comforters. Many pics. Ants in room, tv not working , we were told probably guest before us stole the cord? Bizarre and made the trip awful, always afraid of what we would have to deal with next! We’re told we would get discount… no tv for 4 days he said $25 off… they actually added that on our cost. Took the credit card payment before we could go over it with them. They are used to having the homeless stay there and obviously they do nothing for them. Wyndham should drop them, it is shameful. Now we continue to fight for the money back Never again, we tried to give benefit of the doubt, plus all hotels were full. Constant Headaches

Seriously, stay away. place was filthy, staff was unavailable, bed sheets stained with blood and other juices. Bathroom was dirty, and the whole place smelled like bleach which is ironic for a filthy place.
