Résidence Château de Salles

Our family of four had a lovely fortnight in one of the lodges here. The staff are very friendly and the grounds are lovely and understated. Other guests seem to be mostly families and a mixture of French, Dutch and English. Our children enjoyed a taste of freedom being able to roam a little as the site feels very safe, and amenities are close by. There’s a fantastic pool, one half deep and the other shallow - perfect for our 6 year old just learning to swim. The tennis courts are well maintained and our kids enjoyed the games room and the football field. The kids club looked brilliant although we didn’t use it. We enjoyed the live music outside the restaurant (Sat nights only) and the kids had a pony and donkey ride one evening. Not far from fabulous lake beaches, a water park and a couple of small theme parks (the one we went to was perfect for young children). There are a couple of great restaurants within walking distance plus one onsite. The lodges are well spaced out so you have privacy from your neighbours and were never disturbed by them. The lodge we had was a little dated, although clean, comfortable and well maintained. We would recommend this to anyone looking for a low key relaxing holiday.
