Fabulous boozer. No food, but they don’t mind you bringing some/getting a delivery. Very welcoming and spotlessly clean. Well looked after ales, good wines and great atmosphere as well as sun trap beer garden (covered too for rain with wood burner). Brilliant staff who really know how to charm and look after their customers, especially Daisy, who goes beyond and above to make your visit a great one.

Fantastic staff good atmosphere. Enjoyable visit. First time drinking in salisbury and would recommend this pub. Old school feel to it. The speedboat in the yard is a good attraction for photos. Wood burner to extended back area. Nice feel about the place. Definitely worth a visit.

I find a lot of the pubs in Salisbury a bit pretentious and can’t always feel comfortable in them (sorry!) but the Five Bells has a completely different feel, perfect for a chilled lunchtime drink with family, and great for weekend nightlife too. Great selection of draught beers/lagers/ciders. Fun staff/landlord and awesome music!

A lovely evening with a large group of friends. The staff were friendly, efficient, helpful and always smiling. They didn't do food, but were more than happy for us all to bring in fish and chips, and provided all the cutlery, last and pepper for us. A great evening, enhanced by the staff.

Came in for a meal but didn’t get past the stale beer, barman said he thought it was off but served it anyway. Can’t recommend it - such a shame as it’s a nice interior. Other better places in town and definitely it you want a beer which doesn’t have taste like vinegar

The pub is lovely, the staff are too we only has drinks and sat in the garden which is nicely decorated with lights etc not forgetting the famous speed boat. The only let down are the toilets, absolutely disgusting, can't understand why these weren't updated when the rest of the pub was refurbished.

Almost 5 stars. The new management have turned around the 5 bells. Its kept a traditional pub atmosphere and is friendly and fun. I would have given 5 stars but the only draught was Doombar as the other two pumps were off. That said the Doombar was good if just a little standard.

We had the best evening in here! My friends didn’t believe my stories about the speedboat, but seeing is believing & I found myself in the company of 6 grown men acting like little kids on Christmas morning. The darts and pool table were taken over instantly & the whole ambience is exactly what the new owner was looking for. The clientele are interesting, but all very friendly & welcoming too & just enhance the whole atmosphere. Will we be back? You bet we will!

I really want to support this new venture. It’s an interesting pub and I hope it succeeds but my experience on Friday 17th December wasn’t good. I was charged £16 for two pints and questioned it. The barmaid had mistakenly charged me for three drinks because the barman had placed my drinks next to a pint belonging to another customer. Fair enough mistake but barmaid grudgingly scraped £4.50 (!) out of the till and gave it to me with a scowl. Because of Covid restrictions I assume that’s why the back door was open but unfortunately this meant the fumes from the smokers was blowing in so the whole place smelt of fags. Pie counter is a great idea but the charcoal sausages look like they’ve been cooked by a drunk dad at a barbecue. Seems like these are issues that can be easily remedied but I’ve seen so many new ventures go to the wall because they can’t get entry-level hospitality right.
