This place was an amazing “bang for your buck” and I rated it a 5 but based on the “type” of place: a family run motel not a “5 Star Hotel”. Friendly staff, clean and not too far but far enough from a very eclectic “downtown”. From “old school” bar rooms to high end dining, I would go back for sure!

The Woodland was just what I needed after camping in the mountains for several days. A hot shower and a comfortable bed were the perfect recharge for the long trip home, and the price was far below average for the area. As others have said, it's basic, but you'll have everything you need and the cleanliness is next level. I've seen 5 star resorts with more dirt in the corners than you'll find here. You can tell that the owners take special pride in what they offer. Added bonus: the "old school" air conditioner runs constantly, so wonderful white noise for sleeping!

We really appreciated the staff and our comfortable stay during the rafting festival. Most importantly, we accidentally left a pair of high quality air buds behind in our room and the manager mailed them back to us! Will definitely return.

This is a wonderful motel. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly. The rooms are clean and comfortable , with excellent showers and first rate coffee. We would highly recommend the Woodland. It was the best place in town to see the 4th July fireworks.

The folks at the woodland motel in Salida are very accommodating and friendly. The rooms are clean and ther is decent parking. I stay here for a reasonable cost every time I visit Salida and I recommend you do as well. Local feel run by people that live in town and care about your experience

I love finding a place with a kitchen. Perfect accommodations that are accurately represented on the website. Very clean. Helpful staff. A great place to stay for a quick weekend getaway or stopover on a long journey. Very pet friendly with a great binder full of helpful tips for travelers and pet owners. Good location within walking distance to historic downtown Salida. Great fishing access nearby. I will certainly stay here again.

Stayed here in June on a road trip around Colorado. The hotel is by a busy road so you do hear cars but we never hear any noise from other guests. We had a king room upstairs and you do have to carry your belongings up the steps. The bathroom is tiny but everything worked as needed. There is a small balcony where we had our morning coffee and our neighbors had a nightly wine. The property also has some outside tables and a hot tub we did not use. You can walk to downtown Salida for dinner, drinks and shopping. I would definitely stay here again if in the area. Salida is a great little town and close to some very nice outdoor recreation.

Stayed here as a stopover on our way over the pass. Hadn't been to Salida in awhile, so wanted to hang out a bit. Thought it was walking distance to Boat House and such, but not really for a cold winter's night. It's a basic, clean motel. Not a lot of frill, but very quiet. We were on the second floor. Room had good coffee in it, and a frig and microwave. Bed was comfy. Bathroom very small, and like I said, VERY basic. Probably wouldn't hang out for more than one night, but good for one!

We stayed at the Woodland Motel for a short night. The motel is owned by a friendly family. Rooms are simple but comfy. We had a good night and experience. Parking is easy. Internet is working very well!
