Elegant B&B - Il Vicolo Storico

Excellent location in the old part of Salerno near the Duomo and the Botanical Garden of Minerva. It’s a 9-minute walk to the opera, where we actually arrived, and it’s further away from the station, but also close. What added charisma was that the rooms were located in the ancient Palazzo San Massimo. The room is comfortable, quiet, warm, which is important in December, with high ceilings. Typical Italian breakfast with coffee machine in room and refrigerator. Everything is clean and everything is new. Special thanks to the staff. Spacious room, even for our dog in tow, and equipped with all comforts even in the bathroom with shower products and hairdryer. Plus you can have breakfast whenever you want because the room also has a space dedicated to breakfast with everything you need, table, chairs, cups and teapots, coffee pods with relative machine, tea with kettle, milk with relative milk warmer, yogurt, cakes and bondì motta... in short, everything you need for a good Italian breakfast. Not to mention the courtesy, friendliness and confidentiality of the manager who welcomed us upon our arrival, giving us all the necessary tips for eating or visiting Salerno, and saying goodbye to us upon our departure.

The building that houses this B&B on the first floor is around 300 years old but effective work has been done to combine ancient and modern. Our room was large, furnished in a non-trivial and aesthetically pleasing way, especially in the colors and furniture chosen. Comfortable bed, air conditioning, TV, window. Clean and quiet environments. The bathroom, renovated with a shower, was a bit small and sometimes we noticed a bad smell coming from the drain. Furthermore, being located in the historic center means that the main train station is more than 20 minutes away on foot and if you are by car consider that it is impossible to park nearby (the owner helped us with useful and detailed directions before our I arrive). Finally, breakfast, to be eaten comfortably in the room even if not very varied. Overall, the b&b is recommended to everyone for the tranquility, the atmosphere and the highly competitive price and the few "negative" elements (but exaggerating...) are given precisely by the peculiarity of the building in which you will stay. Rest assured: he may be 300 years old, but he doesn't look it!

Soggiorno perfetto,tutto molto pulito e stanza curata nei minimi dettagli a,accoglienza super,situato in centro perfetto per raggiungere le attrazioni principali! E per finire siamo andati via anche con un bellissimo pensierino regalatoci dal proprietario 😁

É stato un giorno breve ma davvero confortevole. Lo staff ci ha accolto calorosamente. É stato sempre disponibile alle nostre esigenze ed ai nostri tempi, offrendoci una stanza ben arredata e pulita e una colazione ottima e abbondante. Ci ritorneremo sicuramente.
