I travel to Salem, NH once a year regularly, this time I decided to try the Holiday Inn instead of my usual hotel. I felt that the pool was a plus. I discovered at arrival that I was assigned an handicap room. I can' t imagine having booked one because I am not handicap and I think but I might be wrong these rooms should be available to those who really need them. The room is small, spartan and drab, one lamp wobbled, the brown, grey carpet was tired and it seemed dirty but the color made it difficult to tell. Nothing invites you in. In the middle of the night the air conditioning suddenly started to roar noisily, while somewhere close to my room a loud party kept on going late trough the night, sleeping was a difficult option. At the concierge desk I was told that the manager is only available during the week and not on weekends. The only way to contact a manager on weekends is though email and I did not have an answer. However I was able to speak to her on the phone: the hotel was completely booked, etc.

I don't normally take the time to write a review but the front desk person by the name of Bridget (who we interacted with mostly during her late shift on Saturday night, 6/28) had such exemplary, like truly exquisite, service that I just MUST. Bridget was so kind, patient, and helpful to myself and my family during our stay at the Holiday Inn Salem. We were here for a wedding which, although joyful, can be stressful and with the help of Bridget our stress melted away. She was prompt to help us, incredibly friendly, and just overall amazing at her job. I hope she continues to bless the hospitality industry with her skill and charm so if any manager or supervisor of hers ever sees this: hold on to Bridget! And give her a raise while you are at it. Thank you Bridget!

Stayed here as part of a road trip across the USA. The spacious room is a bit tired needs a lick of paint. Staff helpful especially in the restaurant. We had the breakfast which is not a buffet style but made to order. There was a good selection of offerings on the menu as well. Plenty of parking and the room was quiet. The shower had a curtain which is rather outdated and the shower floor is quite slippery so we had to put down a towel to stop losing footing.

I frequent this hotel for both business and family. I choose this hotel because the people that work here continuously go above and beyond to make their regular guests feel as comfortable as possible. Every agent that I’ve encountered has been highly considerate. Laura specifically has earned a gold star in this review for always having a solution to any problem my family and I bring to her! I will continue to return to this establishment for not just the accommodation, but the personal :-)

Annie the waitress at breakfast was fantastic very attentive and polite . The food was so-so breakfast vegetables were out of a can had them in a skillet one morning and omelet the next morning both times they were nasty so I hade pancakes the next day.

We stayed here for a wedding and arrived late after a day of traveling. The location is extremely convenient to I-93 and easy to find- which makes sense, since that's in the name of the hotel. There is plenty of parking, and the check-in process went smoothly. Everyone we've encountered has been friendly and helpful. We had breakfast at the hotel, which was extremely convenient, and honestly really good for a hotel breakfast. Our server Annie was friendly and did a stellar job, especially since she was the only person working the entire dining room on a fairly busy Saturday morning. The rooms are clean, comfortable and updated, and everything works as expected. It's not fancy, but it's exactly what you expect of a contemporary holiday inn property. My only comment is that when you book your room, you should request one that doesn't face the highway, or is on a lower floor. The proximity to the highway leads to some road noise bleeding over, especially on higher floors without the benefits of other buildings + trees to block the noise. It wasn't a problem for us, but if you're a light sleeper I could see it being an issue.

Annie was a great server. The food came out quick and delicious especially for a hotel chain restaurant. It is definitely worth stopping in for if you are in the area. Staff is very friendly and the prices are very reasonable. I hope you enjoyed reading this review.
