I would give more stores than five if I could. This hotel is very clean. The staff is very friendly and is pet friendly. Parking is limited but they have overflow parking. The directions for the overflow parking is inside. We arrived 830 Eastern time on a Friday and found a parking space near the front. It was one of two remaining. The snack machines are reasonably priced drinks and chips are a dollar each. See photos for more info on this. I have asthma and smells contriver it and there is no smell in this hotel. The air is very fresh. This hotel is very quiet. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel was welcoming: bright, clean, and friendly staff. Hotel lobby and rooms were spacious and modern. Breakfast buffet was well-stocked with a nice variety of food. Front desk gave us a “to go breakfast” the morning we ventured out before dawn to hike up McAfee Knob in time to watch the sunrise. Hotel only a 15 minute drive to the McAfee Knob trailhead parking area. Would definitely stay at this Hampton Inn in the future.

Newly renovated with lovely employees and near the best Mexican food at Garcia’s Bistro that I’ve had since I was in Houston. It’s just on the other side of I-81. Unfortunately I had the worst night sleep. Room 136 is next to the ice machine which we didn’t realize because we didn’t have to walk past it. By the time we heard it we were in bed and not willing to move with our two dogs. Between the noisy ice maker with cubes dropping every 30 minutes and the A/C that must be 80 decibels I got no sleep. At 3 am a trucker started warming his 18 wheeler. The renovation was complete except for the blackout curtains which were hanging on a rod letting the light from the parking lot in all around the window lighting up the room like it was midday. We really did like it but we will be sure to get a room on the back side away from the lights. I’m sure they’ll have the blackout curtains up soon. I can deal with the noisy A/C. Definitely going to get more food from Garcia’s.

Modern, clean, quiet hotel. We always stay in Hampton Inn as they offer good consistent service and decent free breakfast. Even though this property is under renovation, we did hear construction noise around 8am. Otherwise, it was quiet at night, bed was comfy and staff is friendly. Bathroom has large soap and shampoo bottles with pumps which is eco friendly and less wasteful. Breakfast had good options. Waffle station, oatmeal, scrambled eggs, country potatoes and bacon among hot options. Breakfast is served 6-10am. Overall, we enjoyed!

Love Hampton Inns and this one was up to expectations. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and comfy. Unfortunately, we had a room right next to the elevator and the noise from the bell started waking me up at 6 am. My wife slept right through it, so it might not bother heavier sleepers. Other than that it was a great stay.

Convenient location, comfortable beds, very friendly and competent staff. Room was newly renovated, very nice. They warned us that the new blackout curtains hadn't been put up yet, and the temporary curtains weren't particularly effective in keeping the room dark. But apart from that it was a good stay.

We stayed here 1 night in a renovated room and the showers are nice! Our room was huge with a king bed and sofa sleeper. It’s a very quiet location and there were respectful guests last night too. Breakfast was the usual and okay, enough to choose from. It’s very clean with friendly employees. We would stay here again.

We stayed at the Hampton Inn Hotel on 2/7/2024, we arrived late and we just wanted to shower and go to sleep. As I was showering I notice the bathtub was not draining and after pulling the drain cap off there was a lot of disgusting clump of hair blocking the drain. I complained to the receptionist at the front desk and I sent a text message as I was told to the manager. We have not received any response from the manager. We will never stay at this hotel again…Please see attached picture. The Nebbia’s

We did not stay there. Our plans were changed and we, instead, stayed the night of October 21, 2023 at your Hampton Inn - Harrisonburg-South. We attempted, for more than one hour, to cancel our reservation at Hampton Inn, Salem. We were unable to do so. No prompts would allow us to cancel out. We were completely frustrated in our efforts to cancel our reservation at Hampton Inn Salem. Finally, we phoned the Inn's main phone # and were told that we did not have a reservation for the evening of October 21, 2023. We were completely satisfied with our stay at your Hampton Inn-Harrisonburg, South
