Stayed here for 5 ngts for work purposes, arrived and was taken to my room by the receptionist (Helen) super friendly and asset to the Hotel. Room was not the best as looking over the main road, but bed was comfortable and shower was very good. Food was decent and cooked well. Nice views from the Cove restaurant.

Harbour Hotel Salcombe – A Truly Exceptional Stay From the moment we arrived at the Harbour Hotel in Salcombe, we were blown away by the warm welcome, the stunning views, and the overall quality of everything this beautiful hotel has to offer. The staff are genuinely some of the friendliest and most helpful people I’ve encountered in any hotel. Nothing is too much trouble – whether it’s the reception team who greet you with a smile, the restaurant staff who go above and beyond to make every meal a memorable experience, or the spa team who are calm, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. One standout mention has to go to the free shuttle bus into Salcombe town. This is such a thoughtful touch, especially for guests who want to explore without the stress of parking. The driver is an absolute gentleman – so friendly, polite, and full of local knowledge. It’s such a relaxing way to get into the town and back. The rooms themselves are beautifully decorated, immaculately clean, and full of character, with little touches that make all the difference – from the luxurious bedding to the high-end toiletries and the balcony views across the estuary. You wake up and go to bed with a smile just from being in such a peaceful, picturesque setting. The facilities are top-tier. The spa and hot tub area is an absolute haven – peaceful, clean, and very well maintained. It’s a great way to unwind after a day of walking or enjoying the beach. There’s also a great gym and chill-out spaces around the hotel if you just want to relax with a drink or a book. The food is exceptional. From breakfast to dinner, every dish was fresh, well-presented, and absolutely delicious. Whether you’re having seafood with a sea view or a hearty breakfast before exploring the coast, you’re in for a real treat. The service in the restaurant was flawless every time. Another huge bonus is the location – the beach is literally just across the road. You can hear the waves from your room, and getting to the sand takes less than a minute. It’s perfect for morning walks, sunbathing, or just soaking in the beautiful Salcombe surroundings. Considering all of this, the value for money is incredible. You get the feeling of a luxury retreat with all the little extras – spa access, shuttle service, high-end dining – without the inflated prices you might expect elsewhere. All in all, the Harbour Hotel Salcombe is a complete gem. Whether you’re there for a romantic break, a spa weekend, or just a peaceful getaway by the sea, this hotel delivers on every front. We’ll definitely be returning – it’s one of those rare places that truly leaves a lasting impression.

Très bien situé dans un endroit calme mais pas loin a pied du centre. Très belles vues sur l'estuaire et les plages d'en face. Chambres confortables. Parking quelquefois plein. Décevant : les oeufs facturés en supplement du petit déjeuner compris.

Positives - The room had a lovely view - free parking - free spa (worth a visit) - lovely pancakes for breakfast , but you do pay £10 for this, but I thought the free breakfast looked good - friendly staff - great location Negatives -it looked quite run down, the grout on the spa floor needed a good scrub as was quite mouldy looking - the bathroom in our room needed some tlc the paint was chipped and the bath panel slightly peeling (although everything worked fine) -the carpets looked a bit dirty -we did wait a while for someone to take our drink order on the Tuesday - the add a tip to everything on a tab which I think is a bit naughty considering how much your already paying , maybe it’s a think in salcombe - the ladies toilets by reception were smelly and dirty

Very small room . No air con . Seemed a bit grubby . Carpets around hotel were grubby too . Outside seating area was dirty with full ashtrays on tables. Breakfast was very good . Lots of choice . Steps to road outside the entrance needed sweeping . Very efficient parking system . Disappointing as just visited similar hotel in Southampton where our room was amazing .

The Hotel’s best asset is the location with stunning views over the estuary. However it really lets itself down with the quality of the breakfast which is ordinary at best and there is a £10 charge for anything hot. Given the room rate this isn’t really acceptable.

It started with a lovely polite young man (sorry did not get his name) who greeted us in the car then assisted us with our luggage. Wonderful welcome in reception by various members of staff. Another extremely polite and friendly gentleman “I think his name was Sam (sorry if not) parked my car and showed us to our beautiful room. I have been to Salcombe on many occasions but forgot how beautiful the view was “and from our bedroom on this occasion”. The Hotel is lovely and bar & restaurant have a wonderful vibe, a few little areas of attention could be better (flaked paint, rust, dirty window) but hey we can’t always be perfect. What made our two days in this lovely location 1. Very gorgeous weather 2. The most incredible food at the Jetty 3. The most important The Staff - everyone we spoke to were incredibly friendly and helpful Adam restaurant manger really helpful and Olly the bar man so friendly and fun ‘but special mention has to go to “Captain Jack” The Bar Manager his personality, professionalism, knowledge and overall demeanour was amazing, he has only been in post a couple of weeks he is an absolute credit to the hotel and I hope he is recognised for this, such a breath of fresh air to still meet someone so invested in their job. Thanks to you all for making a two night stay feel like a week “I wish” So hope to return again some day.
