The Sahakon Imperial Hotel is a bit of a faded rose, but therein lies some of its charm, as arguably, it is an historical site in its own right. I checked in without an advance booking, as my decision to visit Sakhon Nakhon was made on a bit of whim. My ground level unit was a tight fit, including the bathroom and wardrobe. Comfortable bed, stable WiFi and proximity to the Big C, as well as morning and twilight markets (see my YouTube), is a major location plus.
