Beautiful castel with super friendly and professional staff we had an amazing stay. The breakfast by the garden is stunning everything was perfect. I totally recommend. We haven’t tried the restaurant but I’m sure it’s a must go.

The place is not big, the food is not good, the environment is OK, but the facilities are old

This is my second time staying at this hotel. The price has gone up, the service is a little friendly, the room is good, but the view is not enough, and the price/performance ratio is worse than before. This time in the summer, it’s nice to be able to swim.

Molto bello il castello elegante con gusto. Bella la terrazza e anche il parco. La cena è stata eccellente. I cani sono accettati ovunque. Personale molto gentile e disponibile. Stanze silenziose.

I had passed this hotel on at least 15 occasions whilst being in France inc in 1985 at a gite in the village just to the south, Pasquier (Paquier on Michelin maps). So this was a chance to stay here and we were not disappointed. You arrive though the main gate off the D970, south of Pouilly-en-Auxois, and at the north end of the village of Ste Sabine. The gravel drive leads towards the main building with the car park on the left, which has E charging. Two of our party went though the entrance to what might be described as a courtyard and to the reception which is on the left hand side. One of them returned with someone to take our main cases. We were then taken to the terrace and were given a drink. This has a view over some of the grounds inc the grass area in front, with two cow statues, a small lake and on to the village of Chateauneuf which is a sight in itself. Then we were taken to our room, which was in also in the main building. It was up a marble staircase and up on to the next floor by way of a wooden spiral staircase. There are lifts also available if needed. The room was not huge but perfect and all you would need. The view was was an extended view as from the terrace. One thing is noticeable is the loads of House Martins which nest on the building. One young one landed on the window sill just inches away from me and looked at me to say "who are you?" as if it had never seen a human so close, as it almost certainly had not. There is a swimming pool for those who feel the need but a walk round the grounds and the village of Ste Sabine was all I needed. So to the evening meal, it's best to reserve a table as the restaurant is also popular with people not staying at the hotel. The menu is in French and English, so my French food dictionary was made redundant for the the third hotel out of three on this trip. There was a reasonable menu, not huge but I think would cater for all tastes. The food was excellent. The wine might be considered expensive but given the location and the area perhaps not a great surprise. The Aloxe-Corton we had was superb. No issues with sleep quality at all and a nice early am walk around the grounds before breakfast. Due to the good weather breakfast was served on the terrace. A lady showed up to our table and took our order for hot drinks. The rest is a buffet service and there was plenty of choice. The lady came back to check on further hot drink requirements. She and all the other staff we were in contact with were friendly and accommodation. There really seem to warm to you as their guests. I just cannot wait to go back.

We waren hier met een groep Rally rijders van AB event. Prachtig hotel, verzorgde kamers met ligbad en douche. Het eten was ook subliem lekker.

This XVI century chateau is located in the small village of Sainte-Sabine along the D 970. From the outside it looks splendid, likewise on the inside. There is a magnificently decorated lounge right next to the reception and a decorative staircase at the end of corridor. The small swimming pool is next to the car park with plenty of loungers around it and water and coffee provided there. From the start, care and attention was afforded to us as soon as we parked the car. The check-in was efficient and friendly. Our bags were taken to our room without a fuss and the host showed us around. Our corner Prestige Room on the first floor had a great view towards the imposing Châteauneuf-en-Auxois across the wide valley. It was spacious and bright, with big wardrobe and large comfortable bed. Bathroom was of good size, with His and Hers sinks and a large bath tub. Bathrobes and slippers were provided. Tea and coffee-making facilities were provided. There was a mini-bar with a selection of drinks. Water was replenished daily. We dined at the Lassey Restaurant. The food was exquisite although the choice was rather limited. Wine list was adequate. We tried out restaurants in the neighbouring Vandenesse-en-Auxois (recommended) and Châteauneuf-en-Auxois (definitely not recommended!) for something different. Breakfast was served on the terrace throughout our stay. It was rather limited though with a good fresh fruit selection. Overall it was a fabulous place to stay and very peaceful.
