Best Western Plus Montfleuri

I booked a room with seaview but I was allocated a room on the first floor with a very limited seaview blocked by a building in the front, so I would not recommend paying extra for the seaview room. Worst thing is we found it very suffocating in the room so we asked the reception how we can switch on the air conditioning. The reception replied saying that the air con was already on and “it’s winter here all the time so you cannot adjust the temperature”. I checked again and show then a picture with the screen showing air conditioning and ventilation off. They only then said the ventilation of the entire hotel was not functioning. This is unacceptable given the price that I paid and the attitude was disappointing.

I had a very poor experience at this hotel and unfortunately cannot recommend it. Upon entering the room, there was a strong smell of urine, which had been masked with some kind of perfume after I raised the issue with staff. It was an unpleasant first impression that set the tone for the rest of my stay. The shower was another major disappointment — there was no hot water for my first shower, and when it finally worked, the water pressure was so low that the showerhead wouldn’t stay in position. To make matters worse, a cleaning staff member entered my room at 8:30 AM on a Sunday, even though I hadn't yet checked out. This was a clear invasion of privacy and completely inappropriate. The room itself was very noisy, with almost no soundproofing. I could hear everything from the hallway and adjacent rooms, making it hard to get a decent night’s sleep. The air conditioning system was outdated, and the overall room decor and furnishings felt old and worn out. All of this might have been somewhat forgivable if the price reflected the quality — but this hotel charges far more than what it’s worth. Overall, this stay was uncomfortable, frustrating, and certainly not worth the money.
