I rate it from the standpoint of price-quality ratio. What is quality in a 5 star hotel and why will I never return to Astoria? The devil is in the details: this is not only the presence of comfortable beds, bathrobes or slippers (although here they turned out to be “easier” than in other 5* hotels in St. Petersburg), but, above all, this is the service for which every guest comes. In Astoria, there was a feeling that you had to constantly ask and remind for service: to bring suitcases, bring a coffee machine to the room (from the second reminder, the maid who came simply killed with an arrogant phrase: “limit, one capsule per person per day” ***?). In the evening, guests are served Alenka candy (very frivolous for a hotel of this level, especially if it has its own line of chocolates from chocolatiers, which are sold in a nearby store). When checking out, the deposit was returned only after contacting the hotel, two days after check-out, which also had to be reminded. There are no welcome drinks (which is the norm for other 5* hotels in St. Petersburg). In general, if you are looking for 5* service, book the Grand Hotel, Helvetia or something like that. Maybe in the suites with a view of the cathedral there is enough space, but we took a standard room and its ergonomics turned out to be a little strange (for example, the door in the bathroom rests on the sink, it’s impossible to get through). In fairness, I would like to note the extremely polite communication of the staff in the entrance area, the girls at the reception and the wonderful bar in the hotel lobby, with excellent coffee and desserts. But you can get into it without booking a room in this hotel.

Satisfied and cost-effective. I am not familiar with the situation when traveling abroad. It is right to choose a chain store.

Очень хороший отель , в удобной локации для прогулок и отдыха! Чуть уставшие номера, но не разочаровывают. Хорошие завтраки, приятное место для чая и кофе внизу в холле! Очень дружелюбный персонал! И я бы сказал, великолепная служба консьерж сервиса!

В целом отличный , шикарный отель , размещение на 5, обслуживание на 5 с + , уборка на 5 , причем 2 раза в день , всякие приятные мелочи в виде конфеток на подушку , салфетки для очков , завтрак шикарный , в отеле вообще все сделано очень достойно, на чайную черемонию на 1 этаже не нашли время , как и на бассейн в соседнем отеле англетер, единственный момент предупредил , что день рожденье - цветы, десерт спасибо , изменнице все понравилось , единственное надеялся , что дадут номер на Исаакиевский , но получили во двор , хотя людей в отеле особо и не видно было … вообщем на концовке - приехал бы еще сюда - Да.

We rested in this hotel from February 2 to 5, 2024 for my birthday. I was a little worried before arrival, because in large 5* hotels we mostly go to the sea. Astoria is a gorgeous historical place. A harmonious combination of interior - rich, but not pretentious; unobtrusive, but caring service and hospitality. We had a room on the 7th floor with a view of Isaac. Nice and cozy, the kind that makes you want to come back. Overall, I have a very good aftertaste from visiting this place. My birthday was a success. Many thanks to the Astoria team.
