Great hotel. A little away from the town centre so a little quieter. Lovely park opposite. Staff were brilliant. Warm pool, nice terrace.

First room offered was in the attic and very small. Changed to a larger room but right next to the air con units and kitchen fans so could not open windows. Air con inefficient. Had one meal in the restaurant. Both had the curry which was tasteless and the chicken was tough. However the staff were all very friendly.

Our third visit to this WONDERFUL hotel. It was special as it was our Diamond Wedding annivesary. As before we found accomodation superb, everything really top notch.The Bedroom and Bathroom clean to a very high standard. The staff as before were very attentive and welcoming,meal times, led by Nicolas with his team ,made our stay a delight,with extra special little things done for our anniversary.A very worthy hotel , 4star plus.We will be back again sometime. THANKS TO ALL the Staff.

We have just returned from 11 lovely days in this beautiful hotel. From the moment we checked in until our departure this morning I couldn’t say enough good things about our entire experience. Every member of staff we encountered was professional, helpful & friendly. The bar provided amazing cocktails in addition to an excellent wine menu. Food in the restaurant on every occasion (breakfast, lunch & dinner) was of the highest quality. Extra little touches such as welcome & leaving gifts & the lovely complimentary cool drinks at reception (different recipe every day) all added to a truly wonderful time. We felt very much at home in this beautiful hotel & hope to return again in the future!

Everything was excellent- comfortable room, lovely food , little touches such as a cool drink available in reception. But most noticeable was the warmth, friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff-reception, restaurant , cleaners etc. We would definitely return.

We were made very welcome and the meal on the first night was lovely. Asked for a walk in shower- this was sorted next day in a superior room at no extra charge- it was empty anyway! Great service and information from Reception. Jessica deserves special mention for her skills in all areas. A missed cocktail class (Travelzoo's fault?) was remedied by referral to the Master cocktail man, Paul, and we enjoyed his offers and conversation. A delightful cheeseboard was also provided. Thank you all at the Duke of Richmond.

Lovely hotel in a good location - just a short walk down into town. Full Bar and Restaurant on site with swimming pool. Parking limited outside. Reception staff on arrival was very good and helpful. Room - Bed and pillows and high quality white linen were excellent. Nice selection of teas/coffee/biscuits in the room. Robes available in room with all toiletries you would need. Bathroom, very clean with full bath. Modern. Had a room with sea view which was good. Air Conditioning unit in the room which was used. Good varied, breakfast is available too. Only negative was the room was quite small, but decorated nicely.
