Gulf Strand Resort by Travel Resort Services

We booked 3 rooms at the Gulf Strand Resort through TRS, Inc. Management Company. Two weeks before our stay, St. Pete Beach was hit by the hurricane. TRS, Inc didn’t notify us that they were closed until the day after our scheduled arrival. They didn’t answer their phones or respond to emails for 2 weeks. Then they refused to give us our money back even though they were closed. After many arguments, they returned most of our money but they retained a cancellation fee even though the resort was closed. These people are completely unreasonable. The first time we stayed there in October, 2023, they cancelled my reservation a week prior to my vacation because they said that the owner of the unit that I was renting, wanted to use it. So I was forced to stay at another location when my friends were staying at the Gulf Strand Resort. They didn’t even honor my reservation. Never make a reservation with them!!

Overall experience was once again AMAZING. Our first go-to place is Gulf Strand because of Betty Thomas, she's the best communication person, keeps us up to date on everything during the year & once we arrive, she's the go-to lady because we know she will assist us on whatever we need, it's obvious she gives more than 100%. Please, never move her from Gulf Strand. Unit 602 is a beautiful unit and we've already booked for next year. The person behind the scenes is the maintenance man, Janusz. He works hard every morning in the dark before anyone gets up to assure the property is clean and everything is in place, even sweeps the sand off the walkway so it's ready for people to head out to the beach. (makes it easy on the feet) Had the pleasure of meeting Kenji Birriel as a fill-in when Betty had the day off. It speaks volume of the company when people have been with TRS for years and years and Kenji has been with the company for 4 years. This is the best place to stay on St. Pete Beach and we would never think of staying anywhere else. We have been return customers for over 13 years and will continue. Thank you TRS for having great caring people and for providing an amazing beach front property for people like us to enjoy.

Return visit with new partner & child & we all loved it. The best thing about it is the view. You can eat by the ocean indoors or outdoors ocean views/ and sleep by the Ocean. Quiet nights. It is just perfect for the amenities and very comfortable and clean. It has anything you desire. It helps you save money to cook your own meals once in a while and hang indoors when there are storms or just to take a beach break. My young daughter was so happy and she had such fun in the pool. Even beach toys. No need to overpack- laundry in unit. 2 bathrooms convenient. Elevator access for accessibility. Covered parking a bonus. There is community feel & it’s safe & secure. Visitors seemed social and happy there. Office staff friendly efficient. The location and proximity to amenities is fabulous as it is near grocery stores and restaurants, and within driving or trolly distance to the nearby neighbourhoods of Pass-a-Grille and Gulfport and treasure Island. it’s also 30 minutes away from Clearwater for day trips. I believe it’s the best unit of the building as it doesn’t have any unit across like the others and it’s the highest point amazing views. 602 is the way to go. Ocean was warm, often calm, clean & beach long and white sand. They even had chick-fil-e booth on our beach area and rentable covered beach seating. The only bad part is, we didn’t stay long enough ha.

Gulf Strand is once again amazing ! Starts with Betty in the office. She makes making reservations & check in after-hours soooo very smooth, very accommodating to what we need, she's one amazing lady, the communication is constant and makes checking in and our entire stay run smoothly. During the last half of our two week stay, Hurricane "IAN" was in the radar which happened to be on Betty's days off but because TSR has amazing staff that work together, John stepped in and was a HUGE help with hurricane information. The TSR staff are amazing caring people. We are return customers of many many years & will continue to return as we look forward to the Gulf Strand every year (2022 we made two trips). We stayed in unit 602 this trip & it's become our go-to unit, it's top notch!! The views from balcony is amazing, your view of the ocean is priceless and endless, the sunsets are one of the best as you stand on your balcony to be in awe. On the other end of your balcony is the coastal way and you can see the beautiful high rises and baseball dome in Tampa. Two full bathrooms, comfy king size bed, the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you could ever want. The balcony chairs and tables are the best !! The key-less door locks are one of the best upgrades, so you can go to the beach without worrying about a key so thank you for that!! And the new key-less lock for the gate leading out to the beach is perfect. The pool area has alot of chairs and the pool itself is always sparkling clean. The Gulf Strand grounds are kept in great condition and very clean (I can't remember his name) but the man that is there every morning cleaning up in the dark is appreciated for keeping things in order. We can't say enough good things about the staff, the condo itself and the grounds of the Gulf Strand. Looking forward to our next trip which is already on the books.

The location is next to the public access/parking lot so it was pretty crowded most days. The unit was not the best considering the age-it needed to be updated. If you're on a budget it was good, but be prepared for 2 star unit. It has a Gulf view from side balcony and is close to traffic (you can here at night).
