Brit Hotel Martigues Nord

Good price but nothing special Good check in experience and friendly receptionist who seemed to be on the front desk every time we went past! Room was well appointed, although a little compact. The bed was comfortable and the whole hotel was well maintained and clean, although the pool area appeared quite neglected. Also some of the photos in the listing are not representative of the hotel or local area. Very limited dining options in walking distance of the hotel, but they have a notice board with details of the nearby restaurants. We made the mistake of walking the 1.5km to a steak restaurant close by, as the two buffet restaurants next to the hotel didn’t look appealing. However we had to walk along a main road without a pavement, so I would recommend taking the car or bus. We also recommend the cocktail bar opposite the hotel which was a lovely venue. The second night we took the bus into Martigues which was convenient with the stop right outside the hotel and only cost EURO 1 each way. We had to take a taxi back as the last bus back was around 8pm. Martigues town is beautiful, as are the beaches further to the south. Overall would recommend the hotel for price and convenience.
