We have been visiting St.Minver for the past 10 or so years and have seen certain changes some good, some not so good. Although the accommodation is a little tired, the fixtures and fittings have been updated. Contains virtually everything you need - just need to bring towels, tea towels, washing up stuff etc. The bar/restaurant/showbar areas are looking tired and in need of an uplift. More comfy chairs in the bar would be good as there is already seating areas in the restaurant/showbar. As it is September/October when we visit, there are not usually many actual visitors wanting to enjoy the entertainment and so this area definitely lacks, although the entertainment team do their best to make it fun. Negative: They are now allowing dogs into the common areas and it does not create a calm atmosphere. Smelly, wet, barking dogs are not part of a relaxing holiday. Especially if you have 2 members of your group who are allergic. I do not know why Parkdean have allowed this to happen - I'm guessing it's due to 'Owners' needs and wants, as they are Parkdeans bread and butter after all. Positive: All the staff are friendly and helpful but special mention for Vince, the barman - always greets us with a smile and nothing is ever too much trouble Overall - Lovely low key park, great value for money and great location for Rock, Port Isaac, Padstow, Wadebridge and the Camel Trail on bikes, which can be hired in either Wadebridge or Padstow. Bedruthan Steps, Looe, Polperro and many other favourites are also not too far away either.
