Stone Willow Inn

The rooms are very spacious and clean. The front desk agent was very friendly and knowledgeable. We weren't expecting much because the price was so good, but we were very pleasantly surprised. I would definitely stay again.

We stayed here one night, because my niece was getting married at the golf course nearby. Since there isn't much choice in accommodation in St. Mary's and because it had been suggested to us that we book a room at this Inn, we did. They charged us a rate of $ 170.00 per night, not including tax, for a standard room with two queen beds. Let me start by saying that this Inn is in serious need of some updates. When we entered our room, we were met by a musty smell and it quickly became evident why. The room looked like it had not been renovated since the eighties, right down to the flowery curtains and the wallpaper border along the ceiling. The green carpet was stained and worn. So was the furniture, as you can tell from the pictures. The television was an old cathode ray tube television that most hotels and motels have long since replaced, but not here. It got worse. When we opened the bathroom door, we were aghast to find white stains on the bathroom counter and a light bulb missing from the vanity lighting. The sink was rusty (see picture). Not only that, but the bathroom has no bathtub! It has a small shower stall only. The bedding was the only saving grace to this room. It was quite comfy and it was clean. That was the only good thing about this dilapidated room. I still can't believe the Inn has the audacity to charge guests $ 170 for a room like this. It is a complete rip-off for what you actually get. The staff was friendly and I don't have a complaint there. I would suggest to anyone thinking of staying here: Drive 15 minutes to the town of Stratford, where you will have more choice and much nicer accommodations and don't waste a fortune on this Inn, because they should definitely NOT be charging these outrageous rates for rooms that are old and worn.

10/10 Recommend Condition of the room was incredible! Was the perfect home-away-from-home stay. Our only concern was the dust from the heater caused some agitated sinuses as they hadnt been used much this winter. Other than that the stay was amazing and apuls 1000% visit again

Great find. Value priced. Manager Noel very accommodating!!! 3 night/2 day snowmobile trip. Trails, fuel & food nearby. Would recommend trying the Stone Willow Inn. Amply parking for truck & sled trailer. Restaurant on-site to open soon.
