Saint Martin- surrounded by the Vauban fortifications- is the best place to stop. Your base a 17th century shipbuilders residence with windows overlooking the port. What a tremendous hotel . First of all the staff couldn’t have been more helpful - genuinely helpful - it’s makes all the difference The BEST location , Charming decor We ate in the restaurant twice and also for breakfast - again first class - v imaginative menu

Égoïstement, je ne voudrais pas trop en dire ….juste pour garder le sentiment d’avoir vécu dans un endroit secret seulement connu des initiés et surtout avec la grande envie de pouvoir le conserver intact sous une bulle de magie. Les chambres sont magnifiques, l’emplacement idéal. Imaginez un endroit ressourçant, bienveillant, apaisant…mis en œuvre par une équipe de professionnels d’excellence à tous les postes…vous êtes au Toiras ! Mais vraiment ! Voituriers, serveurs, femmes de chambre, chef de rang, réceptionniste, veilleurs de nuit, managers, vous donnent tous l’impression de vous accueillir chez eux et d’anticiper tous vos souhaits. Chaque séjour au Toiras nous rend vraiment heureux et nous redonne des forces. Merci à tous ! Vous êtes tout simplement exceptionnels…et ce qui est incroyable c’est que nous avons l’impression que vous ne le savez pas : Humilité, simplicité, sincérité..l’âme du Toiras est dans ses murs mais surtout dans son incroyable équipe ! Merci pour votre disponibilité auprès de nous et pour la qualité de vos prestations 😍 ! Et mention spéciale pour Ornella, toujours attentive au bien-être de tous ! Exactly this time last year I visited this hotel and I gave it a superlative review. However since then the prices have moved up substantially and it has moved beyond exclusive into realms which feel ridiculous. How expensive? Twenty euros for a shot of gin? Thirty for a desert? The room cost 50% more than last year. Yes it is a nice place beautifully done up but it is more like a delightful guest house than a five star hotel. Five star hotels are a particular box ticking thing and you need things like international TV channels and hotel safes which is really not what you are going to get here. It feels much more guest housey than five star to me. Which is perhaps a good thing? But ultimately it has befome too expensive and I am not a price sensitive person so that is saying something.

It s a 5 star hotel so what is there not to like?? Except the staff was super friendly and the rooms were extra comfortable. Barman is very good. He does a killer Pimm's!! The colour palette throughout the main floor is lovely and matches the Atlantic.

We spent 3 days in St Martin Il de Re and were extremely well looked after by Didier and the Hotel de Toiras team. Each and every member of the team were prepared to go the extra mile to ensure everything about our stay was excellent successfully exceeding our expectations.

Our suite was amazing, staff so friendly and welcoming, excellent service and Great food. They organised our bike hire. We used the pool at the sister hotel which was a bonus in the hot weather. We loved sitting out the front and watching the bustling harbour come to life each morning. Will def return to this amazing hotel next year.

Une belle soirée avec mon papa à nouveau dans cet établissement que j’adore et dont le restaurant George’s est une pure merveille. L’accueil est toujours très chaleureux et à la hauteur du prestige de l’établissement. On partage en entrée des crevettes croustillantes sauce cajun très gourmande. Et passage obligé et plat signature du restaurant: les fameuses pâte au homard. Un vrai régal. Pas de dessert ce soir car j’ai trop mangé. Le service est TOP et très dynamique. J’ai hâte de revenir d’ici la fin de saison.
