Been going to this hotel for 20 + years because of its location to Barnes Jewish Hospital. It was a privately owned hotel until the last few years and was always a good hotel that strived to meet customers needs, and was continuously upgrading floors as needed. However, since its take over by Double Tree it has deteriorated substantially? The interior has become worn and shabby. I recently got a room with a handicapped walk in shower, but the curtain is so short that nearly the entire bathroom floor is wet and is a dangerous slip & fall hazard. The TV’s in the room have a channel guide without listening any of the specific programs on any of the channels. The beds are so high that you cannot comfortably sit on them and if your short you literally have to crawl up into them. For the prices they charge not a good investment.

We’ve been staying at the Double Tree Hilton multiple times to be close to the Barnes Hospital for my medical procedures. And I can’t tell you enough good things about the employees of this Hilton location. Here’s a recent example… We checked in on July 23rd, as I had to be at the hospital early the next day. As soon as we walked in, at LEAST two employees recognized us and welcomed us back! They were having computer problems that day from a worldwide outage that was still causing problems. Not a problem for them! They ran everything beautifully and escorted us to our room in no time. Early the following day, when we were just out the doors to head to the hospital, one of our favorite gals from the dining area came out the doors and called for us. She just wanted to say hello and tell us how happy she was to see us…. I got a big hug, and she wished me a good outcome at the hospital! She took fantastic care of us the last time we stayed and ensured we had breakfast, even though they were shutting down the dining room. If you are reading this, (I wish I could remember your name!) I want you to know that your beautiful smile, warm and kind heart, and uplifting attitude are something we will look forward to seeing whenever we come back! At the end of my stay in the hospital, there was a holdup on my being discharged. I called the hotel first to see if we could cancel my husband's room for the next night, as I was being discharged a day early, and to let them know we were running a little behind on getting me out of the hospital in time for checkout. The cheerful voice that answered my call was easy to recognize; it was the Manager, Mrs Stephanie Smith. She assured us there was no problem and that we should not worry. She has the most uplifting and welcoming personality and a beautiful warm smile, and you feel like you’re around family with Stephanie and all the others. I know this is a long review and a little late on my posting….But now that I’m feeling better, I want others to know how well the Double Tree Hilton staff took care of us. My husband and I are both very grateful for each and every one of you! And we will definitely be back again within the next couple of months. Sadly, I have an artery on the left side of my brain that has the same problems as the artery they fixed back in July. Happily, we will see all of you again, and we know we will be cared for like family. And thankfully, we know the hospital will get me fixed again. Take care, everyone! The Moynihan’s

Great service, great cookies, great everything! We worked with Angela to book 15+ rooms for our recent wedding weekend, and the process from start to finish was fabulous! We got excellent rates for our rooms and had parking, which can sometimes be tough to find in the city, for free for the whole of our room block. It was a wonderful stay and we will be recommending the DoubleTree by Hilton St. Louis Forest Park for all of our out-of-town family visiting in the future. Thanks, Hilton!

We had a good stay here. The name of the hotel is nowDouble Tree by Hilton. The rooms were nice, and since we were going to the hospital, the connector bridge was a huge plus. There is some construction that woke us up around 7 AM each morning, and altered our driving outside when parking too. Hospital pricing was nice too, but overall the convenience of staying near the hospital was worth every penny.

This was a great location for our event at Busch Stadium. Metro station is up the block and an easy walk - drops you at Busch stadium. Great way to beat the car crowds!! Clean comfortable room! Beds were super comfortable and the shower was great. Only hiccup was there was no water from midnight - 4am due to repairs but we weren’t super inconvenienced by it. Cookies were warm and fresh and Darlene at the front desk was super helpful!!! Panera is up the block as well if you don’t want to pay $14.50 for breakfast!! You also need to plan on paying to park per night….

The hotel is comfortable and the hospitality is terrific. And Richelle Tyrone, Director of Sales, was extremely friendly and efficient in helping with a conference I recently organized in St. Louis. I highly recommend doing business with her and with this hotel!!

Had booked a room with Hilton Honors points, and when we realized we needed to switch room types (King to Two Queens) , we were told that wasn't allowed (even though they had the rooms available! We were told that we could try rebooking with points but there was only one room left and there were no guarantees unless we booked right then (at list price!). It felt very, very predatory. Lots of "we're just following the rules......." Will never use this location or Doubletree again. It's the only vote we have left.. Congrat's on the $400, Hilton St. Louis Forest Park! Was it worth it?

It was my 31st birthday weekend and my first time being at St. Louis, after a long 4hr drive there was lots of things to do and see in St. Louis. The Front desk staff of this hotel was up beat and made my stay more than welcoming. When they looked up my name, they decided to sing happy Birthday to me which made the whole lobby sing along. After a long day, I went ahead and rested my head, the showers was a bit confusing on how to get the shower head to work but we managed to get it. The Next day, me and my plus one got the breakfast that the hotel provided us and let me tell you, one of the ladies named Liz she was an amazing person. When I needed a cup she was there right away, if things was low she'll refill it, she was welcoming from the jump when I approached the counter to get in to the breakfast area. Liz, once again thanks so much for being there and the energy that you spread to the people you'll come across!!

Miss Darlene at the front desk was wonderful. She helped us by putting us on the 3rd floor because my sister had a doctor's appt and we could use the walkway to the hospital. That was so nice. She and Alex and MB made us feel welcome and at home. They helped us with the parking garage that is attached to the hotel. My sister and I are in our 60's and we are "country mice" we don't live in a big city... Darlene, Alex, and MB calmed our nerves and gave us a beautiful stay with 'NO STRESS"! That is rare! We loved them so much that we are staying with them twice in September for my sister's operation and follow up appointments. Miss Kendra was also wonderful in the breakfast area. We love this place because of the great crew and great Managers. Thanks everyone! We will be back soon!!! Lisa, and Kathy... grateful sisters!!!
