The room looked as though it hadn’t been cleaned in an extremely long time. This place was special to me and my family, unfortunately now, I will not be returning. Once upon a time the Cheshire was a magical place, now the hotel looks like a used up fraternity house that should be scheduled for demolition. I can only assume another hotel management company must have bought the place out which is why the hotel took such a tragic turn.

The hotel has a great vibe! I loved all the themed rooms and themed decorations. You really feel like you’re in England. My only complaint is that the rooms were uncomfortably warm. The AC was definitely not working. I could really get a good nights sleep because of it.

I was very fortunate to strike up a lovely pre-booking email friendship with Justin at The Cheshire, and he proceeded to permit me four days and nights of kitsch literary opulence in the Oliver Goldsmith themed room….Much obliged to all the lovely staff at The Cheshire, the amiable cleaning staff, front desk, the Roxie and Phil who was always smiling and friendly at breakfast and the Fox & Hounds bar & food team….Thank You one and all and what a bonus to get to swim in a pool ♂️ ♂️️

The staff was awesome!! Never been to a hotel with friendlier people. Roxy checked us in when we arrived and was so nice and helpful every morning. The night desk person gave great dinner recommendations. The hotel is in a great location if you want to go to Forest Park or the Zoo. It’s a great location to stay even if you wanted to drive in the city for the day. Free parking and an AWSOME outdoor pool which we enjoyed immensely!! We will definitely be back.
