Dan (the resident human) and Rosie (the resident pup) are the absolute best hosts you can ask for! Dan was there to greet us and show us around and give recommendations for this vibrant neighborhood. The room was spacious and the bed super comfy. We took two of his suggestions both for stopping for a quick drink and for dinner and both were awesome. Breakfast was delicious, especially the “Rosie Puff” and we had such a great time chatting with Dan. He’s just an all around kind, engaging and interesting man. We can’t recommend staying here highly enough. I’m so glad we found him when planning our road trip!

My friend and I spent an extended April weekend 2024 with Dan and Rosie, and were delighted with our stay. Dan could not have been more engaging and informative. Every recommendation (restaurants, neighborhoods, sights) was perfect. It was impossible to find a less-than-outstanding restaurant, all within walking distance of the Benton Park Inn. Rosie was a doll -- perfectly behaved -- and Dan's very generous, homemade breakfasts (waffles, omelettes, INCREDIBLE French toast) were delicious. He even remembered my dietary restrictions. Parking was a breeze, and the area is safe and quiet. Easy access to highways for excursions in and around St. Louis. I'm only sorry we didn't have time to stroll the lovely park right across the street. Highly recommended!

So enjoyed our stay in this beautiful, historic home. Dan and Rosie are great hosts! Breakfast was delicious. Our bed was very comfortable, lovely linens and towels in our room. Soft drinks, water available in the kitchen refrigerator. We both cannot think of any cons to consider! Parking available in front or behind the home. Beautiful park across the street. We will stay again when in St Louis.

My wife booked our stay at Benton Park In n to be fairly close to the Robert A. Young Federal Building, Downtown. I was attending my USA Citizenship Interview and was pretty stressed over it. Dan and Rosie made it a delight, I had asked Dan to pre-book a cab to take me over to my appointment, which by the time I needed to leave had not appeared and they were trying to find one, So Dan graciously took me over for the appointment. The building is a beautiful old red brick building with well appointed rooms, we were in the Thomas Hart Benton Suite, I relaxed in the Hot Tub every night, so relaxing to just ease the stress and muscles. The pictures are a great representation. The breakfasts were fantastic, We had Omelet with bacon and a small apple pastry, Pecan Oatmeal Waffles with Maple syrup and sausage links, A mixed pepper frittata with bacon, and French toast with a beautiful cinnamon apple topping, toast, and fresh brewed coffee or tea every morning also. Breakfasts aren't your usual fried eggs etc.. they are wonderful. Rosie is an absolute bundle of fun, yes she is a bigger breed, pitbull, a rescue, and she is just a real sweetie, she has a deep bark when you come in or walk downstairs if she is there, she'll come running over to greet you with her tail wagging, I know some people are worried about Pitbulls and bigger breeds, but she is just a big softy. She loves people. And I for one after a few days getting to know her, miss her, and I'm a cat guy. There are lots of nice cafes and restaurants nearby, my two favorites were The Blues City Deli, the sandwiches are excellent, and their homemade Pastrami is some of the best I've ever had. The other a bit more upmarket is The Sydney Street Cafe, more French/Japanese Fusion fine dining. But Dan has a map in his info folder in your room and copies he can give you of the local cafes/restaurants within a few minutes walking or driving distance. Dan is the most gracious host, where nothing is too much trouble. When I return to St. Louis, I will be staying with Dan and my new fried Rosie!!

This is an awesome place to stay. Central to Soulard Market and some fantastic restaurants. Across the street for beautiful Benton Park. The host Dan and Rosie are great host. The rooms are large with tall ceilings and everything you need for a very comfortable stay. I would highly recommend the Benton Park Inn for you next St Louis stay.

We had never been to STL before & were seeking an alternative to commercial downtown hotels for our vacation. PROS - The host (Dan) was friendly and welcoming. His breakfasts were good, too. The neighborhood seemed safe and has multiple outstanding restaurants within walking distance. CONS - While the rooms are spacious, we felt the place is in need of a serious renovation. This includes not just the decor, but towels, pillows and bed linens. The street noise was also an issue for one of us who had trouble sleeping. The Inn is located on Arsenal street & the passing traffic is surprisingly busy and loud despite the fact that the Inn faces the park. The street must be some kind of thoroughfare, b/c the traffic (while it subsided a little deep into the night), did continue at a regular pace. Perhaps a room not facing Arsenal would be better for light sleepers.

Bravo to Dan!!! From the moment I walked in and met Rosie the sweet dog that greeted us I felt like I was visiting a dear old friend!!!! This inn if full of wonderful amenities and the proprietor took care of many subtle details to provide “ all the little things” that make a big difference in your experience Lots of wonderful original art. Each room is a gallery!!! And the breakfast was amazing; oat waffles with bananas foster compote!!
