Great small hotel right on Worthing Beach in Christchurch Barbados, with the Caribbean sea rolling in on the beach at the hotel's doorstep. The good points.... Good sized clean rooms all with wonderful sea views. The rooms (and the entire hotel) are cleaned daily and are spotless. Rooms have a King size or 2 queen size beds, aircon, armchair, table, large walk in shower, full kitchenette with fridge, freezer, cooker, microwave, kettle, toaster, coffee machine etc. The hotel pool is smallish and is right in front of the hotel between the hotel building and the beach, The hotel has a security fence to prevent any beach vendors from strolling in. There are numerous sun-beds and chairs around the pool area and parasols to provide shade. There is a hotel bar that opens from midday to mid evening. There is a hotel restaurant, but I didn't use it, so cannot comment on it. The hotel is situated just off the main road between the airport and Bridgetown, being 10 minuets to either from the Hotel. The hotel has free parking for approx. 10 cars. There are numerous bars and restaurants in the local area and the St Lawrence Gap (the *****) is only a 5 minute walk along the road. The BAD point. The ONLY bad point I could raise against this hotel is that the pool and sundeck area is not manned, and doesn't have any security guards. The signs do clearly state this, and normally this is not an issue in any hotel I have been to before. However at my time in this hotel there were a number of Canadian couples who were getting drunk at the poolside all day every day, and were drinking from Glasses and Glass bottles in and around the pool area. This is a hazard and should not normally be permitted in any hotel as broken glass can be dangerous for bathers in bare feet etc. These Canadian couples spent all day drinking and smoking in the pool. One lady actually spent 4 hours in the pool without ever leaving, despite her partner bring her MANY MANY MANY drinks throughout the day. SO this lady surely must have been relieving herself in the pool as surely she couldn't contain the amount of liquid she kept taking in. Her partner was also so drunk that he fell over a number of times and needed to climb on to a sun bed as he was incapable of getting off the floor by himself. I realise that this issue is not a hotel problem as it is drunken inconsiderate customers that caused it, however if the pool was manned and watched by staff, then this kind of behaviour wouldn't occur. Because of this, we rarely used the pool, and chose to use the sea instead. It is for this reason alone that I have dropped my rating from 5 to 4. Otherwise the hotel would have a 5 out of 5 for me.
