The Sands is a great size friendly hotel. The staff on reception are friendly and extremely helpful. The bar staff are funny, kind and work extremely hard to make your holiday fantastic. The cleaner and maintenance staff are incredible. The restaurant staff are friendly, helpful and work tirelessly to give you the best experience. The beds are comfortable. The rooms are better than expected as you get a lounge and kitchenette. The pool and beach are beautiful and it is in great location. Highly recommend it. We spent 12 nights here and are leaving today.

I was quite apprehensive about this holiday as there are some quite bad reviews on trip advisor but it was so much better than l expected. Room ...very spacious and clean but l would prefer a table and chairs on the balcony. Sunloungers...always managed to get one but not necessarily where l wanted. Food and drink...bar staff are all great and a wide range of cocktails A la carte, alternate days, this is ok and promptly served but the buffet food lets the hotel down, meat and fish tough and dry but there's usually pasta and a good range of salads so l made do with that so didn't starve!!! I would possibly come here again but will probably try the sister hotel if l return to Barbados.

My husband and I stayed at the Sands for 4 nights in September, first 2 nights was just us, the last 2, our 3 year old daughter joined us. We had an incredible time! Check in was easy and my whiskey sour was PERFECT! The room was lovely, spacious with 2 bedrooms and bathrooms. The ac was cold and bedding plush! Let's talk about the food, Noir was incredible, had their steak twice, so tasty! And my husband's snapper was delicious and well presented. In fact, all the dishes were garnished perfectly, flavours on point! Loved the shrimp starter. Cassandra and Sherissa gave wonderful service! The buffet was great on mornings for breakfast and Keimara was terrific. We also loved the drinks by the bartender with plaits/cornrows. Kemar and Jackie were really helpful as well throughout the day, nothing was too much trouble. Lunch was good too, as well as beach football. Our daughter had a ball in the pool, love that there is a shallow area! She also loved playing with the connect 4 game on the grass. Overall, such a great way to start a vacation, can't wait to come back!

A fabulous and convenient location. Pool and beach just a few steps from the room. Seemed like everyone who was there at the same time as us was having a great time. The staff were very helpful at all levels. The entertainment consists of pool and beach activities and live music every evening. It’s a very good mix. Michael does a fabulous job.

This was a return visit for us and it was even better the second time around. The setting is just stunning. We had room 75 with panoramic views of the ocean. The restaurants are great with a good selection of food varying between al a cart and buffet for lunch and dinner. The staff are amazing from Rebecca the manager to the bar and restaurant team. Special shout out to Junior and Tanya , you both are a credit to the hotel. Plus Danny behind the bar who was pretty cool and very friendly and made a great Mudslide. The hotel itself is very clean and well presented and right on the beach, with water-sports and snorkelling. Swam with some turtles just off the beach. We will be visiting for a third time soon. Thank you the Sands for a great holiday

A wonderful week at this hotel. The room was perfect with beautiful views. The food at the restaurant alternated between buffet and a la carte and this was actually nice to have the option to switch it up. The food in general, both in the buffet and a la carte was tasty. I am gluten free and everything was labelled with allergens which was really helpful. The Noir restaurant which you can only book once per week was a lovely treat and food and service was also excellent here. The activities run by Kemar were brilliant and a lot of fun. The bar service was sometimes a bit slow and we did wait almost 90mins for a burger ordered from the pool bar, only to find out that the waiter that took the order actually forgot to notify the kitchen. But once the order was with the kitchen, it did come out pretty quickly. This was the only minor mishap so do not let this put you off from visiting. Also a huge shout out to Ricardo, Davida, Nesa, Kemar, Kenye and Michael who all made our experience really memorable and thank you to all of the staff from housekeeping, beach service, restaurant, reception and the bar.

My holiday was out of this world from the staff at the desk expecially Monica. Michael was amazing with entertainment bingo quizzes the singers on at night where really good the sands hotel is just a beautiful relaxing hotel

Could not fault The Sands Hotel, we are enjoying every moment of our two week stay. Offers a great selection of food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Poolside food and drink also available, which sometimes includes a BBQ. There is also a variety of day and night time entertainment, something for everyone. Stunning location and amazing views with the beach located directly at the end of the pool. Staff are all extremely friendly and welcoming, and happy to go above and beyond to help. Thank you to all the staff that made our holiday so enjoyable.
