The resort is in an amazing location in a mountain area. The staff is awesome, the chefs are Michelin star quality. Full gym, great pool area, great hiking, you will see plenty of wildlife. The rooms are awesome, like living with outdoors feeling. Definitely get a pool room, it’s the best. They are in the process of reconditioning many cottages and common amenities, but you can see good progress. If you want an experience with nature, incredible views, great service and amazing food, this is your place.

Oh my, this is going to be a hard review to write because this place looks so lovely online, and is a very cool property, but there were quite a few aspects that make for a sub-par stay. We were very excited to stay in the Luxury King Cottage with our own private pool. However, although it was 75-85 degrees outside, the pool remained so cold we could not even use it. It was very disappointing that it was not heated. The bathroom is completely outside, which is fun, however the shower ran out of hot water after 10 minutes! I had to take a cold shower after my spouse got the hot one. Thank goodness they provide robes! And there is NO WAY that you could fill up the bathtub with warm water. The mattress had some springs that made noise every time I sat down. I am sure this is because, like us, folks use the bed as a couch because there are no chairs (except the desk) in the room. It was VERY windy, so the curtains in the bath area were constantly blowing around, which was slightly annoying. And bring a baggie for your toothbrushes because we had little ants get in our toiletry bag (not to be unexpected in a room outside). There is no TV, but there is a large screen with a projector for Netflix. For $1234.00/night, everything should have been top notch. They also charged the final half of the room the day before we checked in, which I find a little tacky. About getting there and parking. Belle Mont is about as far away from anything else on the island, so it takes at least 40 minutes along very windy roads to get there. When you do turn in, another 1.3 mile “driveway” is so bumpy and poorly managed that you can’t go faster than 10mph. It is not fun at all. Parking was in a field far away from any cottage, so all transportation is done on golf cart or van. This meant that every time we left/arrived, we had to get someone to take us to our room. Because the roads are so bad, once we were done exploring for the day, we didn’t want to drive back down to town again in the pitch dark to eat, so we ate at The Kitchen all three nights. The one night we were going to go to Arthur’s (the only place remotely close), it poured down rain. The Kitchen is lovely, but formal, and there were only two or three other couples there every night. It was a little frustrating that you couldn’t just order a cheeseburger or sandwich. They did make us a pizza to take back to our room the last night, but they looked at us like we had three heads for doing so. For a place so remote, more dining options would be welcome. There is also no ice. So, every night we had to ask for a bucket of ice for the room. It was noisy because the rooms are so open. Nature is okay, but leaf blowing at 9:00 am next door one morning, and trucks buzzing up the road every 20-30 minutes starting at 7:30am the next day, is another. Eugene and Eulyn were lovely! There is a lack of direction/communication as to how the place works. If you ask different people, they tell you different things.

It was suggested that during our time here in St. Kitts to make sure we check out Belle Mont. So I made a reservation for the Sunday brunch. The drive from Frigate Bay was around 42 minutes. We took a little longer because of many curves around the island. The drive was worth it. The place and views were stunning. We were greeted with smiles and fresh coconut water. The steel drum music also greeted us as we walked to our table. The buffet food was delicious. The food was very fresh. On the way we were able to tour a one bedroom cottage which was adorable. Considering coming back to stay a few nights.

WOW! What a magical place, I am still in shock! We stayed in the most beautiful cottage (I'm not going to say little because it was nearly the size of my house) complete with a full guest house next door. The private pool was beautiful and luxurious, and I will dream about those outdoor showers! I wasn't expecting the food to be so amazing, but everything tasted amazing (even down to the olive oil and the sugar!). The breakfasts are not to be missed, and if you go, you definitely have to get a meal at the Kitchen. They are really serious about Farm to Table. I would definitely stay here again and would not hesitate to recommend it to everyone!

Belle Mount is a magical place! We absolutely loved the experience. It was raining during our visit which only enriched the pleasure, hearing the rain on the roof and in the forest. We didn't get to use our private pool because the water was freezing during our mid-Jan stay. The room was huge and the outdoor bathroom was very nice. The staff took such good care of us, anticipating our every need, there with the golf cart driving us to breakfast and dinner. Desiree is such a delightful person, greeting us warmly. Other staff also went out of their way to make sure we enjoyed our stay. I had a spa treatment and the masseur found muscles to soothe I didn't know I had. Our only regret is that we were there on nights when the main restaurant was closed (not open every night). We would have liked to have dined there. We were heading to the sister island, Nevis, and were not able to come on the weekend. Oh well, another reason to return!!

We spent six nights at Belle Mont Sanctuary. The best feature was the gorgeous location at the north end of the island and also the kind staff . The setting is truly lovely. Completed in 2014, the sad part is that the estate is already in MUCH need of repair and portions are incomplete. We were the ONLY guests at the facility. The staff was very pleasant, but the hours of operation were limited, the main pool heater broken, the tennis courts are closed, and the golf course is not useable. What once was a hidden gem I’m sure, needs someone to come in and save it. We had a wonderful 25th anniversary getaway, but the marketing is misleading. At $800 /night, it was too expensive to have all of those deficits. You can tell that the facility was incredible when it was built and every day we’d say to each other, “It breaks my heart to see the emptiness and deterioration.” It’s currently government owned, and hopefully a private investor comes and turns it around.

The place is absolutely beautiful, and the food is great! The staff member were very friendly as well. I’d recommend taking a trip to Author’s for dinner and make your way down to Reggae Beach when you can. 10/10! Milton was the best server we’ve ever had!

There is not a formal reception except way down the hill which requires a drive. No lobby. No sundry store or gift shop etc. so there is no running downstairs to grab medicine a bandaid a quick soda or snacks. Come prepared . We were told several time the staff has left for the day. You basically have to dial zero from your room to ask any questions. But if you are not in your room it’s hard to find staff to get answers to things. The rooms are built on heavy hills so walking back and forth to your room is for the physically fit. Same getting to the restaurant walking up 30 stairs. There were blackout ish curtains but the rooms are not insulated. It’s basically shutters with screens so the AC is not really cold. So hence sleeping with no covers. They provide down comforters which are too hot and no single sheet. Super cool rainforest experience close to trail head for hiking nice experience being in a whole house room with a cold plunge pool. The coffee was absolutely horrible Nescafé instant was best option in room and at restaurant. They did have couple tray champaign which was amazing. The bathroom is attached to most of the houses which means it’s outside and only curtains for privacy which blow in the wind and make you feel like your being watched bring clothes pins to put them together if you are modest. We would return but be better prepared for this type of property. Given the price we expected more.
