Brilliant location, excellent staff who are always willing to go out of there way

Comfortable hotel with self catering facilities Friendly, helpful staff. Comfortable room. Problem with toilet was remedied immediately. Hotel could do with pool area being smartened up. Sound proofing between rooms not the best. Loud music played a few evenings but was dealt with by staff when contacted. Great location for central St Helier, easy to walk to many areas. On the whole, a great stay in Jersey.

We booked a one bed apartment for 4 nights at the last minute. Whilst the price wasn't too bad and the location was good, the spacious apartment itself was nothing special. There was nothing wrong with it, but it was just a little tired, dated and had an odd layout. The whole apartment was on different levels, with steps between areas within the same room (see pics). There is plenty of room to place a door between the bedroom and the bathroom (with poor shower pressure), yet it is all left open with no privacy. The communal areas are all very poorly decorated - although I guess that the owners are waiting until external building works are completed before tackling the update of these areas. From the look of many of the other guests, they appeared to be long-term migrant workers who were happy to dominate the gardens to smoke and socialise, making us feel as though we might be invading their space if we were to sit in the garden. Every day we had to contact reception to ask if they would tell the occupant above us to turn his music down. All in all it was an acceptable space for our short break, but unless things change, we wouldn't want to return.
