A basic hotel but with fantastic caring staff, great food and is very clean. It’s in an ideal position to walk into St Helier town. The meals are from a menu not a buffet and are served to you by very pleasant staff, the food was very tasty and plentiful with a three course evening meal and choices for breakfast. There’s a good well stocked bar and some form of entertainment is on every night. It also has a good outside pool and seating areas.

Looks lovely from the outside but that’s the best bit. Smells musty on entrance, very dated throughout the carpets must be around 30 years old, dated furniture and bathroom suite. Had black mould in our room which was reported to the reception desk, this was cleaned the next morning but it shouldn’t have been there. The pool looked dirty- didn’t dare go in it. Breakfast is the same every day and you can’t ask for anything any different! Even asking for scrambled eggs instead of fried the look I got was like I was asking for the impossible, needless to say I didn’t get it. So glad we didn’t book half board.

The hotel is situated in a quiet area close to the Howard Davis Park (at the top of the street). Whilst the room and bathroom were a bit small for my liking, we were out most of the time exploring Jersey. A less than ten-minute walk puts you on the beach at Havre des Pas, where there is a lido and food outlets. The breakfast was excellent with juices, cereals and fruit choices followed by lots of toast and a full-English breakfast. The breakfast staff were brilliant, attentive and polite. We didn’t book any evening meals, so cannot comment on them. The staff at reception were always very helpful. Whilst this is a hotel for older people; we did not see any young couples or families. The bar was open 5 PM to 11 PM. If you prefer peace and quiet, this hotel would be quite suitable. There is a small Morrisons supermarket and various shops and cafes in the same street as the hotel.

We decided to spend a week in Jersey, but rather than go self catering as we usually do, chose an inexpensive hotel for most of our stay. Norfolk seemed to have good reviews, and was offering a summer discount, so this was the choice. Some reviews referred to it being dated, which it absolutely is, but it is well maintained and our room offered a comfortable bed with fine bedding. Had I taken time to read more reviews, we would have been made aware of the standard and system of both breakfast and evening meals. Both were generally poor. The dining room itself appeared quite smart with white tablecloths and part table service. The so called orange juice was very uninspiring and the fruit was from tins. The continental option was a standard daily issue of yogurt, croissant, slice of low quality cheese, and ham ( which as a vegetarian I could decline but no substitute was offered). Admittedly the cost was only £5 per person, so maybe we got what we paid for, but after three days we were fed up with this so bought a selection at Morrisons or Coop. We chose on our second night to try the evening meal. For the main course only three fixed options were offered each day, including a vegetarian and omelette. When my wife was confronted with tinned peas and carrots beside the mediocre grilled cod we said once was enough. I cannot understand how so many reviewers can commend the food offering here. I suppose it depends what people are accustomed to and what their expectations are. PS - we gave the Bingo a miss.

Excellent hotel, room, cleanliness, staff, food and entertainment, couldn’t do more for us. Thank you to waitress Ana, for making my birthday, a little extra special. Really enjoyed Brian’s jokes at the quiz, but sorry we didn’t win. A positive mention for Eduardo. Will have no hesitation of recommending this hotel. Thank all you.

Went to this hotel from the 12th to the 19th July. What a great place really enjoyed my stay, nice bed, great room, fantastic food served by Maria who was a delight. Really good location 10 minutes walk from the bus station and the front, loads of resturants and attractions. Great staff, got to go again.
