Amazing stay, hotel and room was amazing, and definitely would stay there again

Location & car park 🚗: This hotel is in a central location and can be accessed from the road that leads in and out of St Helens. There is a car park with lots of spaces. It is free for guests but make sure you register your registration using the touchscreen in the reception area. Room 🛏: The room was a decent size and had tea and coffee making facilities. The bed is comfortable although the pillows were a bit soft for me. The air conditioning worked really well which is always a positive ❄️. The room had everything you'd expect: TV, fridge, safe, iron etc. The room was totally silent and I couldn't hear any noise from outside. Restaurant 🍽: I only accessed the restaurant for breakfast which was a buffet with hot and cold choices. Not the most extensive menu options but the hot food was cooked very well, was warm and fresh and if you like a cooked breakfast is worth paying for.

The hotel was fine although I had a major problem at check in as Trip.Com had not paid the room (that I had paid) and I had to pay a deposit to enter the room.

There was a problem when booking into hotel as we had gone through Trip.com and receptionist said that we had not paid as no confirmation had come over to them from third party. We explained that we had paid showed her the relevant information on my phone etc -but still insisted that we had to pay . We waited at reception for about 40 minutes while we waited for the receptionist and manager were in back room sorting it out.This in fact made us late for our evening meal - which we had to miss out on- as well as being late for our meet n greet showing at the Theatre Royal - which we also missed out on- It spoilt our evening - but the amenities and staff in the hotel were fabulous- especially the young girl who served us breakfast in the morning.x

Lovely clean hotel with plenty of shops nearby. Staff very friendly, room roomy and bed comfortable. Food excellent and reasonably priced. Would recommend and would definitely stay again.

Location good but town very bleak.

Fantastic place, great staff, great breakfast. Stayed many times.

The employees are very polite, especially the dining staff who are full of smiles. The girl who runs the room is also very considerate. The only drawback is that the swimming pool closes too early at 5:30 on Saturday, so there is no heating when changing clothes, and it is very cold.
