Accueil très chaleureux de Fabienne dans une superbe demeure, pleine de charme, situé à 2 pas de la cathédrale de Saint Flour et de la place d’Armes (parking très facile). Les chambres sont magnifiquement décorées, toutes rénovées, et très spacieuses avec une jolie vue sur les toits de St Flour (celles au dernier étage). Les escaliers sont un peu difficiles pour les personnes ayant du mal à se déplacer. Le petit déjeuner, concocté qu’avec des produits régionaux, est un grand moment. Très copieux, et excellent, c’est une vitrine pour l’Auvergne. Enfin, Fabienne est très professionnelle. Elle connait parfaitement la région et la vante mieux que l’Office du tourisme. Très bonne adresse que nous recommandons vivement.

This is a beautifully restored house with superb original features, and our room was extremely comfortable, but what makes it extra special is the welcome from hostess Fabienne. She could not have been more helpful, even coming to meet us when we were lost trying to park our car!

Une excellente adresse en plein centre de St-Flour que ce soit pour une simple étape sur la route des vacances ou pour plus longtemps afin de découvrir la région. Chambres confortables, accueil de la propriétaire excellent, conseils avisés pour découvrir la ville et les environs, petit déjeuner au top. Nous sommes conquis.

Maison Adelaide is delightful. I would encourage anyone visiting the quaint historic town of St Flour to stay there if you are lucky enough to get one of the four rooms. Ours was the Chambre Louise on the second floor. As with the rest of the 19th century house, it had been converted with all modern day facilities while retaining delightful decorations from the original premises. The dining room and sitting room are on the first floor and can be used by the residents. A red carpeted staircase leads right up to the third floor. At each semi landing, there is an intriguing old door that goes somewhere ! The volcanic greyness of St Flour is dissipated by the warmth of Fabienne’s welcome. At breakfast the knowledgable hostess extols the virtues of locally made products with even some jams made by her mother. You do need some muscles to open the front door but I am really being very petty about that. Overall, a delightful experience.

Une maison de famille comme on en rêve avec des boiseries, des recoins, des escaliers qui montent en tournant et une superbe décoration. Un vrai plaisir d'avoir découvert cet endroit où l'on sent que l'envie ostentatoire des constructeurs de montrer leur réussite s'étale dès la porte d'entrée, aux délicates fleurs en fer forgé :) Belle rénovation, vastes chambres modernes ou au charme désuet. Bravo

St Flour is a lovely small town with some real gems. Our hotel, la Mason d'Addlaide, was a gem. Located in a building more than 150 years old, it is full of character. High ornate ceilings, beautiful floorboards, classic staircase and generously proportioned rooms. Best of all, our bed showed no sign of age. It was super comfortable. One thing to note is that old buildings have old plumbing. On entry to our room there was an odour as the bathroom is not fully walled off from the bedroom. But open a window and the problem is gone. Post COVID travel necessitates that reservations are made for popular restaurants. At our request, our host booked us a table in advance at the Folie des sens restaurant. Oh my goodness, what a fabulous meal we had. That will require another review for sure. The morning after was breakfast at our hotel. It was superb. Local cheeses snd yoghurt, the flakiest of pastries, homemade jam and butter. Our host was justifiably proud of her breakfast. We can highly recommend la Maison d’Adelaide.

Très belle demeure sur le haut de la ville de Saint Flour . La chambre est très confortable et bien équipée. L’accueil chaleureux et le petit déjeuner excellent avec des produits locaux. Bref une étape à recommander sur la route du sud

Maison chargée d'histoire située en plein centre de la ville. Accueil très chaleureux. Chambre vaste et de qualité qui a gardé des caractéristiques de l'ancien mais avec les commodités modernes. Petit déjeuner avec des produits régionaux.
