Situated in the heart of Foret de Compiegne and to an array of wildlife, including the magnificent Red Deer. Awaken each day to the sounds of the country. HISTORY First recorded in History books in 1381, the original Mill, now the Hunting Lodge, operated as a Textile Mill, built by the Priest of Saint Pierre en Chastres. Originally the estate had a total of four streams running directly through the grounds that rotated the large stone wheels. Remnants of these are still located within the gardens today. Our little Ru Vandy stream was once 4 meters long and was the main canal where boats used to travel along to deliver wood to the Mill and surrounding villages.

Moulin Royale was the perfect place to stay while seeing the Pierrefonds Castle. It is an 8 minute drive to Pierrefonds. We enjoyed our suite for two nights, it was very peaceful and relaxing! I loved the salt water pool and made sure I went in it both days we were there. Mohammed was very hospitable and breakfast was delicious every day. We loved this bed and breakfast and we will tell everyone we know about our fantastic experience. We will stay here again the next time we are in France which is usually every year we fly into Paris!

The Moulin Royale was everything we expected and more, much better that the web pages portray, the accommodation the grounds are all fantastic, the hosts were welcoming and accommodating, the rooms and communal areas were all very interesting with lots of very interesting and novel decorations and ornaments, we loved every minute and will be back to stay again highly reccomended, The local area was alsolovely especially Peirrefonds

We had the best experience here, and will without doubt be back. The Room was Devine, the attention to detail is amazing, the Host is full of information about the surrounding area and the history of the Chateaux. One of the best breakfasts we have ever had in France, and your bed linen is amazing! Thanks guys!

Difficile de réserver auprès des copropriétaire qui ne parle pas français et étaient à l’étranger. Quatre appels/sms pour y arriver…. Bâtiment magnifique. Parking protégé très accessible dans la propriété. Accueil agréable sur place par un monsieur « dépannant » les copropriétaires ; Chambre ouverte avant notre arrivée et restée très froide jusqu’au lendemain. Heureusement deux couvertures de dépannage. La télévision ne marchait pas malgré de multiples tentatives par le monsieur nous ayant accueillis. Décor original de la suite au parti pris très noir. On aime ou pas. Logement globalement très propre et lit très confortable sous couette et deux couvertures! Salle de bain parfaite ( très propre et très bien organisée) bien chaude, elle, mais stores ne fonctionnant pas. Petit déjeuner dans une très belle salle au premier étage avec superbe décoration. Très beaux couverts et vaisselles, mets copieux et diversifiés mais pas assez de café pour prendre une deuxième tasse et lait au goût rance, très désagréable. Et impossibilité d’appeler l’accueillant sans repasser par l’accueil au rez de chaussée et le sonner. Décourageant… Aucun geste commercial ( une bricole suffisait!) pour absence de télévision, froid de la chambre et désagréments du petit déjeuner.

Lieu magnifique mais légèrement déçue
Le cadre est magnifique, la déco est hyper soignée et très tendance et enfin le petit déjeuner extraordinaire.
Malheureusement, la poussière n'est pas faite comme il se doit, une couverture n'avait pas été rangée et traînait en boule sur un fauteuil à l'entrée de notre chambre. Le sèche serviette ne fonctionnait pas et n'a pas pu être réparé. Ce n'est pas normal qu'un lieu qui se compare à un 5* ne soit pas plus exigeant en contrôlant la propreté et le fonctionnement de tout appareil disponible.
