Beautiful château
Beautiful château in a small town. A great stop over with friendly service. Limited facilities on site and in town however you are only a 10 minute drive away from supermarkets and eateries

Un château en ville
Nous avons passé 4 nuits au château. C'était parfait pour se reposer et profiter du beau temps tout en étant un peu éloigné de la mer. La chambre a une jolie vue sur la cour du château. Les propriétaires sur place sont discrets tout en étant présents si nécessaire. Le petit déjeuner est servi à l'heure convenue, dans une jolie salle de la partie la plus ancienne du château. Un feu dans l'imposante cheminée en fait un moment encore plus agréable. Il est servie par les différents membres de la famille qui racontent l'histoire du château. Il y a un restaurant indépendant dans les anciens communs qui a une très bonne table. Cette adresse mérite d'être connue pour profiter de La Vendée autrement.

Excellente découverte : on découvre un château où les chambres et le mobilier restent d’époque : ce fut un superbe séjour de découverte et les équipements modernes existants restent discrets. Les enfants ont également adoré .

Despite only owning the chateau for a couple of months, our hosts made us most welcome, a wonderful room, great advice on visiting La Rochelle and a lovely couple of days. The Chateau is a special place despite being 19th century, so a relatively "young" Chateau. Our room was very spacious with a king size bed and a large bathroom. Spotlessly clean. There is a lot of work ahead for the family but we wish them well with all their endeavours. If I had a minor observation, the breakfast which was fine, was a little sparse in variety, but I'm sure they will adapt to their new roles as hosts as they become more established. Early days but a great start! Highly recommended. We hope to return to see how they are progressing!

Les nouveaux propriétaires font tout ce qu'ils peuvent pour redonner vie à cet édifice aux décors magnifiques, qui mérite beaucoup d'attention. La tâche est immense mais la famille est déterminée. La mère du propriétaire est pleine d'attention à l'égard de ses hôtes. La chambre était calme, propre et bien équipée mais gare aux moustiques !
