Great place it’s our 3rd stay 2nd Time in “ crows nest” room great views. Rooms serviced towels changed , coffee pods tea replenished. Breakfast plenty to choose from would have liked a choice of breads not just a loaf to toast and sure they did a fresh fruit bowl not just the melon slices but still good. Will say for us oldies Please write the menu in a larger font we did see someone else struggling aswell ha

We stayed here for a 5 days Monday to Friday at the end of May 2025. Due to late booking and limited availability we spent our first 2 nights in the town house on the ground floor, our second two nights were spent in a basic room in the eves above the pub itself. The town house room was by far the better of the two, but despite less space and no view to speak of from either window, the basic room above the pub was still nice and cosy and finished to a similar standard. We were overall very happy with our rooms, but they need a little TLC to some of the paintwork and wood finishes to bring back the fresh, crisp look that adds the finishing touch. The staff were really helpful and looked after our luggage before transferring it to our next room. In fact the staff were incredibly helpful and genuinely warm and welcoming throughout our whole stay. Nothing was too much trouble and they even offered support and concern for our little boy when he became unwell. They really went above and beyond each day, a rare thing to find these days from a whole team, from bar staff to and management to the cleaning staff. I think the only constructive comment we could give would be, that the young men serving food in the evenings didn't seem to have the same organisation and efficiency as the other staff, they were still very friendly, they may have been new to the role. Food was good and as expected for public house/hotel, but breakfast deserves a special mention for choice and quality, a huge thumbs up. We had a couple of nice meals here in the evening, but felt the menu was quite limited and we ate out the other evenings, we did not eat here for lunch. This hotel is in a perfect location for visiting sites and many beaches. Overall a great experience for our first stay in Cornwall.

Great location, friendly staff and nice pub. Ideal for Eden Project Session events as so close. Would stay here again definitely.

We stayed here for one night for a concert at the Eden project. The location was perfect! Not only was it close by to our destination, Charlestown itself was truly beautiful. The accommodation was absolutely amazing! Cannot fault the staff or the food either. Everyone was really friendly and efficient. We felt really looked after and spoilt. We should of booked an extra night, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We will be back soon!

Arriving at the Rashleigh Arms was the most emotional experience 45 years after arriving there for the first time when holidaying as a teenager at the nearby (no longer there) Duporth Holiday Village in the late 1970s with my family. My husband had booked it as a surprise, and I was blown away by the fabulous room and welcome we received upon arrival. The room, decor, furnishings, bedding and cleanliness were all first rate, and we could not fault anything. All the staff were fantastic, but I have to give a special mention to Jessica and Jo who went over above with treats, upgrading us to the most beautiful room overlooking the harbour and providing the most lovely words of comfort following the recent passing of my Mum. There are a fabulous credit to the hotel which is first rate, serves excellent food and is in the most perfect location! I will not leave it another 45 years before I return!

What a surprise, I booked the Rashleigh Arms with a little trepidation because it was a pub, but the location was perfect for my Mother who has mobility struggles. I need not have worried, everything was fantastic, the initial booking was smooth, communications with checking room was suitable for Mum was clear and reassuring. ALL staff were so friendly and happy, the rooms were beautiful, clean and tidy. The bathrooms were small but totally adequate and the showers powerful and warm, which were walk-in (Key for Mum who can’t climb into a bath). There were stairs to the rooms but good hand rails and light corridors. Breakfasts where incredibly lovely and plentiful, the evening meals where nice, yes it is a pub but the feel is more a hotel/restaurant at the back with an entrance for residents thus avoiding the bars/restaurant. We had a fabulous mid week break - Mon-Friday, great value, sadly the weather less reliable but managed to have a dip in the sea.

We stayed in the Georgian building down the road from the main hotel, which serves as an extension of the property—and it was a pleasant surprise. The room had a lovely view of the harbour. The main hotel is well maintained and managed, with staff who are both friendly and professional. We dined in one evening and had no complaints—the food was enjoyable, and the breakfast menu offers plenty of choice. Charlestown itself is in a beautiful location, with many great dining options available. Do book ahead, though; even if the streets seem quiet in the evening, the restaurants fill up quickly. There are some lovely walks along the coastal path to Mevagissey...and beyond. Be prepared for some steep inclines and descents, but the stunning views and a satisfying cream tea at the end make it well worth the effort. On our return, we took the 24 bus back to St. Austell and walked the mile or so back to Charlestown. While there is a bus that goes directly through Charlestown, we enjoyed the stroll through St. Austell. Would stay here again, and no complaints from us.

Fabulously comfy beds and spacious well appointed bathroom with Elemis products including pillow spray. Lush fluffy white towels Great cooked breakfast menu and dinner options. Staff were very friendly and helpful in carrying our luggage up the stairs to our room. Only minor point was the sash window rattling in the wind at night and room located over bar so some noise until bar closing time.
