This place is a DUMP!!!! It would take too long to describe how awful and disgusting this place was. I've traveled a lot and been to the best in the world to the worst and this was below that. Everything was old, outdated, no soap or shampoo, no cups, no hair dryer, really there was nothing, not even one piece of cheap art on the walls, dingy towels, one roll of toilet paper on the roll, just to name a few. And the floor, I need to clorox my feet. Sleep in a tent first.

We actually ended up cancelling our stay after viewing the room. The property seems to be under renovation and had a large waste bin in the parking area. The room numbers were written on paper and taped to the wall next to each door. Check in was fine, no bells and whistles at all; super small room with a counter. The room and the hotel was old, which is fine, but the room had patchy wall fixes, mold patches in the bathroom, and stains on the sides of the mattress. They only offered two blue towels that looked clean, but old and dingy. There wasn’t a closet or any where to hang clothes nor was there a mirror in the entire room. We are not bougie, haha, but we weren’t comfortable staying there and did not want to “make it work” for cost. We got a refund and found another place for the weekend. I’m sure this place will be amazing when(if) they finish upgrading.

This hotel has changed owners and management they have worked hard on upgrades. They know that they still have some work to do, but they have done a great job at making a 180 change.

The location is good, you can walk to the historic area as this is in uptown. At night sign says Scottish inn during day Castillo Inn. Restaurant next door requires reservations no walk ins. Close to pizza shop and Christmas store.
Updated room, probably some outdoor accommodations like chairs or somewhere to relax instead of inside the room would be nice. No pool.
