Camp host Jerry is amazing. All sorts of people with all sots of question and he goes over the top. Every visitor has an explanation of whats here and what you can do Excellent man for this job. Making our stay special and growing the greater hood for our tourist industry

Amazing spot on the lake shore. Good facilities (toilets, showers, shelter for cooking and sitting). Shower are coin operated and hot. The people at the reception are great and have a lot of information for you. Several hiking trials start from the camp ground. It’s just a short drive from te start of Mt Robert Circuit. Small down side, there were a lot of sandflies. Come prepared!

Great little campsite. Friendly Camp host on site during busy camping season that can get shower tokens from for warm shower (otherwise from visitor centre when open). There is even a washing machine and dryer. Good sized kitchen shelter with tables and benches and couple of sinks and hot water boiler. One gas stove top. Lake freezing but beautiful. Heaps of sandflies. Wake up to the dawn chorus of birds sounding like wind chimes.

We had a great stay, only wish it had been longer! Marg and Steve were extremely welcoming hosts and what a wonderful location and setting - just a short walk to Lake Rotoiti (make sure you take a walk down in the evening to see the eels). Would thoroughly recommend staying here, it was a perfect setup for our requirements.
