Alpine Lodge

We used this as a stop off point berween Picton and Franz Josef. We arrived after the office and restaurant had closed. We phoned shead snd were allowed to book in st the bar and slthough the restsursnt eas clised the host still 9ffered to cook us a pizza. Thr toom was as expected. The restaurant at the Lodge was very impressive with a great of choice meals, especially for vegetarians as there's many options. This isn't my usual experience at most other restaurants. The food was particularly good and very good value. Beautiful surroundings and a wonderful ambience with great service. Will return again soon!

As a couple, we found Alpine Lodge to be perfect for us. We happily stayed in a studio for 4 nights which we found to be cosy and hearty, so it was very fitting with the surrounding alpine environment. The bed was extremely comfy and having the convenience of a bath to soak in after our long hikes each day was really appreciated. The staff were always friendly, knowledgeable and attentive and it was wonderful to see the dynamics of the team with carrying out differing roles. And now for the dining & wining…our dining experience was an excellent one. After our daily adventures, we always looked forward to our evening booking. There was a wide range of options available on both the food and beverages menus and the food was always well presented with the after satisfaction of having being fresh, tasty and just delicious. The pricing too was accurate giving the food the justice it deserved. Just remember, be sure to book ahead! The location of the lodge was a real bonus as it only took us 5 min to walk to the stunning Lake Rotoiti. Lastly, a big THANKYOU Team Alpine for a memorable stay so we highly recommend your fine facility. Keep being SPOT ON!
