St Michael's Manor Hotel - St Albans

Booked a lunch time meal which was excellent. The staff were friendly especially Delona who looked after us in a friendly and professional, and nothing was too much trouble. Brilliant customer experience

We visited the restaurant today for lunch. We were so impressed with the food quality and service. All the staff were customer focused ensuring we received a great customer experience. We must highlight the efforts of Del una who went that extra mile to ensure complete customer satisfaction. She was friendly, professional,efficient and nothing was too much trouble. We will definitely be returning thanks to excellent food, excellent venue ,excellent service and the delightful Del una.

Went for a cream tea with the family and it was such a lovely experience. Delona was wonderful,really polite and helpful. 10/10 customer service. Would definitely recommend coming here for a family event.

Hosted my baby shower at the summerhouse on the water. Beautiful venue. The events team helped to make the space look 5* The service was amazing from Delona, she was so attentive to the party and went above and beyond to make the day perfect.

Wonderful Full Tea experience! My husband and I, together with a group of 18 young adults, enjoyed the most wonderful high tea experience at St Michael's Manor. From the moment I entered the manor, I was greeted by two of the most kind and attentive hostesses, Petra and Delona. They guided me to our reserved room, all set and beautifully prepared for us. They told me they would be taking care of us today, and indeed they did! Their attention to detail was on point, from refilling our glasses of water without our needing to ask, to insuring my lactose intolerance and another one of our guests dietary restriction was well cared for. And our compliments to the chefs who prepared an amazingly beautiful and colorful, and delicious, array of scones, sandwiches and pastries! We hope to have an opportunity in the future to enjoy this experience again. Would highly recommend it!

This review covers a pre-wedding B&B and dinner stay. We do not offer comment on the event we attended later as guests. The hotel is in a quiet residential location close to the St Albans attractions and has attractive grounds, including a lake and outdoor seating. There is also ample free parking Our accessible room “Rowan” on the upper floor of the garden wing had a lovely view of the garden and lake. The room had aircon and a super comfortable king size bed. There was level access to the conservatory dinning room, bar and reception and a wing staircase to the garden and a dedicated parking area. Breakfast was luxury style with lots of quality choices. Dinner was equally good to a fine standard in the form of 2 or 3 courses from £45pp, with attentive service. Whilst we fully recommend this hotel, we would prefer a 4.5* rating because this is an expensive hotel that adds an automatic service charge, even at the bar.
